In 2017, Mr. German prosecuted a three-week federal jury trial in the US District Court of Arizona against a large insurance company that wrongfully terminated a legitimate disability claim. The $6.5 Million verdict was the third largest in all of Arizona for the year 2017. He succeeeded in proving a heightened burden of proof and prevailed by getting a verdict for $5 Million in punitive damages. The verdict was upheld in 2020 by the 9th Circuit Court. Mr. German's cases have shaped the law in Arizona in many ways, from the way rules and statutes governing civil lawsuits is interpresented and applied, and has handled cases that helped to shape the law governing wrongful denital of legitiamte insurance claims and bad faith conduct that was intended to cause an insured harm.. In 2003, Danny Adelman became Steve's partner and together they formed Adelman German, A Law Firm, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Their firm grew rapidly to include four attorneys and eight support staff.
