Erik Oblasser Bio
Erik, a German native, studied at the University of Wyoming College of Law. Always eager to obtain hands-on experience, Erik joined the Legal Services Clinic under the supervision of John M. Burman. Additionally, he externed for the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center based out of the University of Utah for two years. While attending both programs, Erik developed a passion for criminal and family law matters. Upon graduating as the Clinic's Outstanding Student of the Year, Erik had the unique opportunity to work as an Assistant Public Defender in Casper, Wyoming. While in Casper, Erik began trying various misdemeanor and high-profile felony cases in the circuit and district courts. In an effort to couple his passions for family/domestic work and criminal matters, Erik began private practice in 2014.  Since then,  Erik became a partner of Corthell and King, P.C. in January 2015, and continues to successfully represent clients from all over the country in their respective legal matters within Wyoming's court system and in Federal Court.. Erik lives in Laramie with his beautiful wife, Marty, and their two big dogs, Cole and Lena. When they are not furthering their legal career and serving their clients, all four of them enjoy hiking through Wyoming’s great outdoors.
