Jared earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where he focused on litigation, mediation, family law, and employment law. During law school, Jared gained valuable legal experience working as a Senior-Certified Student Guardian ad Litem for the UNL Children’s Justice Clinic where he represented children who had been subjected to abuse or neglect by a parent. He also worked as a legal intern for the Project Harmony/Foster Care Review Office which oversees all Nebraska youth in out-of-home placements. His legal work also included spending time as a legal intern with the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office. Before attending law school, Jared earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English, with a concentration in Theory and Early Modern English Literature, from the University of Nebraska. He also obtained minors in Women’s and Gender Studies, LGBTQA/Sexuality Studies, and Japanese. His undergraduate accolades include being a National Merit Scholar and receiving both the Chancellor’s Scholarship and Rawlin’s Scholarship. Jared is licensed and ready to help clients in the state of Nebraska. Before joining the Lincoln, Nebraska family lawyers at Stange Law Firm PC, Jared worked as a self-employed attorney and mediator where he managed and operated his own law firm, and worked to represent clients in divorce, custody, and criminal proceedings. He also worked with families in crisis situations, gaining experience in juvenile court and with child abuse/neglect proceedings. Before this, Jared worked as a Program Specialist with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, his work included proposing and monitoring legislation while working to assess the impact on Nebraska’s child support program. Jared has also spent time as a Family Mediator with The Mediation Center where he worked with divorcing or separating parents to facilitate and create parenting plans and financial agreements and settlements..
