I have represented a broad range of clients before the USPTO and have collaborated with associates from the European Patent Office, the Japanese Patent Office, the Canadian Patent Office and others to provide a thoughtful, collaborative approach to obtaining a global patent portfolio.My primary focus has been the representation of several Fortune 500 companies in the medical device industry in connection with an array of medical devices including transcatheter heart valve replacement, embolic protection, spinal cord and deep brain stimulation, microcatheters, ultrasound transducers, pattern-recognition imaging, balloon angioplasty, drug infusion systems, microstimulators, neurovascular intervention, lead insertion methods, hemodialysis, cochlear implants, infrared thermometers, continuous positive airway pressure systems, orthodontics, radiation therapy, sterilization techniques, stents and heart valve repair. I also work on a wide range of technologies ranging from electronic hardware and software (e.g., electrochemical batteries, circuit boards, electrical connectors, wireless locators, deconvolution and web-based applications) to various mechanical devices (e.g., compressors, valves, laser welding, and appliances).
