I am admitted to practice in the courts of Tennessee and the federal district courts here as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. I am experienced in civil rights litigation in Nashville, although most of my litigation work has been with state government. I have never had any disciplinary charges filed during my career and I have had a BV peer review rating from since the 1990s. I worked in the attorney general’s office for three years and have been with the state Bureau of Workers’ Compensation in the field of workers’ compensation law and have served both as a litigation attorney for the Subsequent Injury and Vocational Recovery Fund and as a hearing officer.. I am a community-oriented and forward-thinking person who works well with others. My core values are focused on appreciation of others and helping progress toward The Beloved Community. I have served on numerous committees, including the ACLU state and local boards and the litigation committee, several church committees, and the Napier-Looby Bar Association, which traditionally served the African American legal community. I have presented continuing legal education programs and I am active in the Psychedelic Bar Association and the Nashville Psychedelic Society.
