After obtaining a CPA license and practicing tax accounting at a Big Four accounting firm, Jordan was awarded the Shook, Hardy & Bacon Law Review Scholarship to continue his education at the University of Kansas School of Law. While in law school he focused his course selection on estate, business, and tax planning courses.
