Kate Beckman is a deeply talented and dedicated attorney. She truly cares about her clients and the outcome of their cases. Ms. Beckman earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York in 2004, and her law degree from the University of Denver in 2010. Ms. Beckman is currently admitted to practice law in the federal and state courts in Colorado. Among other things, Ms. Beckman handles cases involving sex discrimination, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, pregnancy discrimination, violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, disability discrimination, race discrimination, age discrimination and other wrongful termination cases. Ms. Beckman works with individuals and small businesses as both plaintiff and defense counsel for these claims which provides her the unique ability to see both sides of the case and have a deeper understanding of the issues at play. Similarly, Ms. Beckman enjoys the preventative side of employment law and works with small businesses to prepare employee handbooks, employment contracts, and policies and procedures designed to prevent and correct any issues that could lead to litigation. Additionally, Ms. Beckman handles general civil litigation cases in county, state, and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative hearings which has provided her with useful varied trial experience. Ms. Beckman also enjoys volunteering as an instructor for the Denver County Small Claims Clinic, Lawline 9, and Federal Pro Se Clinic where she provides trial tips, instructions, and guidance on how to navigate the court system to pro se plaintiffs. Ms. Beckman is a member of the Plaintiff's Employment Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, and the University of Denver Law GOLD program.
