Attorney Borda was selected by peer recognition and professional achievement as a Top Wisconsin Attorney in 2011. As published in Milwaukee Magazine, Borda was named a "Super Lawyer". He is a 1985 graduate of Marquette University Law School where he received numerous honors including the Dean's Award. His litigation skills commenced early as a member of Marquette’s National Moot Court Team. Thereafter, he continued to litigate cases at the trial level as a prosecutor for the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office and later at the trial and appellate level as a private practitioner. Borda has specialty training in the areas of White Collar and Medicaid Fraud related crimes. He was employed as an investigator with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, a victim advocate with the Milwaukee District Attorney's Office and as a data compilation clerk with the Wisconsin Supreme Court-Court Administrator's Office prior to enrolling in law school. His legal experience spans almost three decades. He has been involved in several thousand proceedings over his long career including several hundred substantive criminal proceedings that include criminal jury trials in both State and Federal courts. As an attorney, Borda has handled almost every misdemeanor and felony classification of case. Attorney Borda has handled many complex cases including but not limited to: children and adults accused of homicide; children and adults accused of sexual assault and/or possession of illegal depictions; children and adults accused of drug possession/delivery or conspiracy; children and adults accused of gang related criminal acts as well as having represented law enforcement officers in proceedings related to aggravated use of weapons and homicide.
