A Columbus County native, John Alan High has been practicing law since 1992 and founded his solo practice, John Alan High, PLLC, in 2012. He enjoys spending his leisure time engaging in outdoor pursuits such as hunting, fishing, and water skiing. Alan is also a devoted fan of UNC football and basketball, often cheering on his teams with family. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989, focusing on Finance and Economics. Continuing his education at Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, he graduated in 1992. During law school, Alan was honored with prestigious awards, including the Campbell Book Award in Constitutional Law and Administrative Process and the American Jurisprudence Book Award in Family Law. He was actively involved with the Campbell Law Observer, serving as an editor for the N.C. Court of Appeals and writing case summaries for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Alan also participated in the Intramural Client Counseling Competition, underscoring his dedication to effective client representation.
