Attorney Christopher Melendez is the Managing Attorney for The Virga Law Firm's Tallahassee office.  Mr. Melendez is an experienced, knowlegeable and compassionate family law attorney who has helped countless families throughout the state of Florida.. Christopher Melendez focuses  almost exclusively on assisting families navigating the emotionally charged and often legally complex area of family law. Working with high asset and liability distribution and alimony schedules, establishing paternity, drafting parenting plans and time-sharing calendars, calculating child support, obtaining injunctions for protection, negotiating settlement terms, mediation advocacy, dividing retirement and other complex financial instruments and accounts are just some of the multiple legal areas of family law that Mr. Melendez practices.. Christopher graduated from Florida State University Cum Laude, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship.  After obtaining over a decade of experience in his families' business, Christopher went on to attend law school. While obtaining his law degree Christopher served as a teaching assistant for various courses, including: Florida Coastal’s Lawyering Process I (legal writing and research), Lawyering Process II, and Advanced Legal Research courses. In addition, Chris interned for in the United States Middle District of Florida and earned a certificate in legal research, writing, and drafting..
