Jaime grew up in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1998 and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida in 2001. While in law school, Jaime was chosen as a member of the Justice Campbell Thornal Moot Court Team, where she served on the Executive Committee. She was also selected by her colleagues and teammates as a member of the Order of the Barristers, a National Moot Court Honor Society. She was also selected as a member of Florida Blue Key and the University of Florida College of Law Alumni Council.. Jaime is dually licensed in Florida and Minnesota. In 2004, Jaime joined the multi-state civil defense litigation firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Coleman & Goggin where she practiced commercial and civil litigation in the firm’s Tampa office. She later joined the law firm Golden, Scaz, & Gagain in Tampa where she continued her civil litigation practice. In 2013, Jaime shifted her practice to marital and family law as she enjoys the diversity of challenges inherent in family law cases, as well as helping and supporting individuals through the most difficult and challenging time in their lives.. Jaime has been very active with Bar activities on the local and state level. Within the Hillsborough County Bar Association, she served on the Young Lawyers Division Board in various positions before serving as the President in 2011. Jaime has also been an active member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section as well as the Clearwater Bar’s Family Law Section, where she will be serving as Chair of the Section for the 2017-2018 Bar year. Since 2015, Jaime has been serving on the Board of Trustees for the Clearwater Bar Foundation, as well as Treasurer for the Canakaris Family Law Inn of Court. She also enjoys helping community organizations such as The Heart Gallery of Pinellas County and the Morton Plant Hospital Foundation.. Jaime enjoys best time spent with her husband, Greg, and their two children, Cecilia & Gregory.
