IEL advises clients on complex employment law matters ranging from regulatory compliance counseling, employee relation issues, complaints and compliance with civil rights law, and litigation defense and strategies for employment related matters. Taylor Barton is a licensed attorney in the State of Idaho and joined Idaho Employment Lawyers in February 2019. He was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho prior to attending the University of Idaho, where he earned both his undergraduate and law degree. Taylor is passionate about litigation and helping his clients resolve disputes in an efficient manner, priding himself on his ability to communicate effectively both verbally and though written skills exemplified in his meticulous brief writing. He also enjoys counseling employers on a variety of topics dedicated to preventing litigation, including workplace discrimination, retaliation, implementation of internal policies, and other complex laws such as the ADA and Title VII.. Taylor has a passion for public speaking, and the ability to capture an audience having presented to several groups of employers on a variety of occasions covering issues impacting the workplace. This includes presentations on laws such as the ADA and Title VII, as well as newer issues impacting employers, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the various ways it has affected the workplace. Ultimately, Taylor’s drive and motivation lies in serving his clients and ensuring they feel valued and well represented. In his spare time, Taylor enjoys all the Idaho outdoors has to offer, including camping, hiking, and skiing. He also enjoys a friendly game of golf, so long as he is playing well, and playing his guitar when he can find the time. Taylor prides himself on his ability to develop relationships with people and looks forward to being able to serve Idahoans for years to come.
