I am an Estate Planning Attorney with a broad practice background and have most recently been recognized as a Missouri & Kansas Rising Star for 2015, an award reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys in Missouri and Kansas under the age of 40. I am committed to helping clients understand that the foundation of estate planning is not just about saving dollars, but also appreciating the value of planning for loved ones and leaving a legacy for years to come. I strive to help families fund their Estate Plans and protect from the unnecessary delays and burdens of probate. I am licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri, I pride myself on staying atop local, state and federal laws to ensure families are always covered with their respective Estate Plans.. A lifelong resident of Kansas City, I earned my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law and my undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. I am a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Association of Women Lawyers, as well as the individual Kansas and Missouri Bar Associations.. Prior to joining the firm, I represented individuals in family law and personal injury cases at the firm of Mullins & Baylard. I also completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable John Torrence in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri.  While with Judge Torrence, I was exposed to all aspects of litigation, including civil, criminal, and domestic.  During law school, I was very active in various moot court competitions for both trial advocacy and appellate advocacy. I also spent the last two years of law school enrolled in the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law Child and Family Services Clinic. Where, as a Rule 13 certified attorney, I represented those without financial stability in their family law cases and served as a Guardian Ad Litem representing the interests of children.. I am married with a young daughter and son. In my spare time, I relish time spent with my family, working out, and eating which results in more running.
