Jodi was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 1992. Jodi was recruited to the United States to help with the nursing shortage and worked as a critical care nurse for almost ten years prior to going to law school. Jodi attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, working weekend nights at the hospital and attending law school during the week. She was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review, was selected for Who’s Who in American Law Schools, and graduated cum laude in 2004.. Jodi began her legal career defending doctors in medical malpractice cases, but found herself drawn to representing people who had been injured and switched sides in 2006. She has devoted her practice almost exclusively to medical malpractice for the last 10 years, litigating complex multi-million dollar cases in both circuit court and federal court. She has been named a rising star in the most recent edition of Superlawyers, and is a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice and the Tennessee Bar Association. Jodi has taught seminars and given lectures for the Memphis Bar Association locally, and at the Bench Bar Conference, teaching other lawyers and judges about medical malpractice and tort reform. Jodi proudly became a member of Morgan and Morgan in June of 2015.. Jodi truly desires to help people who have been injured by the negligence and medical malpractice of doctors and hospitals.
