Alejo Pacini, is an attorney with a passion for tax and his clients. Alejo spent four years working directly for former IRS Acting Commissioner, Steven Miller. Alejo used the time under Mr. Miller’s tutelage to learn the intricacies of IRS practice and procedures in order to serve his clients in the best possible manner. He has successfully fought for clients with issues in captive insurance, penalty assessments, the R&D credit, 179D deductions, IC-DISC, the timing of income and deductions, hobby loss issues, promoter audits, dealing with tax liens and levies, avoiding injunctions, transfer pricing, filing deadlines and statute of limitations, among others. Alejo has also provided advice for taxpayers with regard to compliance (including tax-exempt filings, reportable transaction filings, and international tax filings), business structuring, international tax treaty issues, and domestic and international transactions. Having been born in Colombia, he has an understanding of multicultural issues and a diverse perspective when resolving problems. Alejo graduated with Distinction from Georgetown University Law Center in DC, with his L.L.M. in tax. He was Magna Cum Laude at California Western School of Law, where he completed his degree in 2 years, Alejo is fluent in Spanish.
