Jennifer Kim joined ROOP XANTTOPOULOS BABOUNAKIS PLLC in late 2013. She has experience working in all areas of family law, including cases involving divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, and equitable distribution.. Jennifer received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law at University Park. While attending law school, Jennifer served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ivan D. Davis in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. During the school year, she clerked in the Office of Chief Counsel at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State where she worked on matters involving the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs and the Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations. During her third year, Jennifer served as Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association at Penn State. Jennifer has also volunteered with the Youth Court of D.C. facilitating alternative sentencing for first-time juvenile offenders in the District of Columbia.. Jennifer understands that divorce can be a complex and demanding process for the parties and their families and knows that doing what is best for the client requires active listening and honest feedback. She ultimately looks forward to helping clients turn a destructive process into a constructive one.. Jennifer was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and is a native of Northern Virginia.
