I have over 20 years of experience in the practice areas of litigation, bankruptcy, insolvency, workouts and receiverships. I concentrate my practice on both bankruptcy/insolvency matters and commercial and business litigation.. I have considerable experience handling a wide variety of business, commercial and real estate litigation involving discovery, taking and defending depositions, pretrial motions, settlement negotiations and mediation. I have assisted many clients with workouts and settlements of large class actions. In both my litigation practice and bankruptcy practice, I assess litigation and make recommendations for settlement, strategy and potential recovery or potential defenses. I have served as outside litigation counsel for Quest Software, Inc., Qwest Communications International, Inc. (acquired by CenturyLink, Inc.), and numerous other privately held companies in various industries, working with their in-house counsel or management to resolve litigation or to settle claims prior to the filing of a complaint.. I have extensive experience representing chapter 7 and chapter 11 trustees, debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, equity committees, officers and directors, asset purchasers and other parties in chapter 11 reorganization proceedings and in Chapter 7 liquidation proceedings. I have significant bankruptcy-related litigation experience representing trustees and creditors in adversary proceedings. This bankruptcy-related litigation experience includes discovery, taking and defending depositions, trial briefing, settlement negotiations, mediation and trial in connection with preference, fraudulent conveyance, lien avoidance proceedings, and other state law based adversary proceedings.
