He has obtained pre-trial dismissals of countless other cases, with seven published opinions as lead counsel.. Recent Wins: In October of 2010, Scott obtained a complete defense verdict after a six-week environmental contamination trial for a large energy company (in which the plaintiffs sought nearly $20 million). Scott also recently obtained a $47.4 million verdict for a telecom client in a trade secret case – the largest punitive damage award ever issued in San Diego Federal Court. Scott has also won 4 trials in which the jury deliberated less than an hour before finding in favor of his client..
