I focus my advocacy on student disciplinary processes, specifically at the college administrative level. This includes advisement in university conduct proceedings from investigations through appeals; academic misconduct accusations; Title IX cases; student organization defense; and specific hazing education and risk management advice for Greek organizations, sports teams, and clubs.. Prior to starting Albeit Masters, LLC, I co-founded and grew an education specific law firm for almost a decade, practiced as defense counsel to a prominent Columbus insurance litigation firm, and served as a defense attorney on criminal and traffic matters, gaining valuable litigation and courtroom experience.. I am recently certified in Hazing Education Prevention and represent a number of student organizations in various capacities. I currently serve as a university appointed Title IX advisor for certain higher ed institutions, defending students accused of sexual misconduct. Additionally, I was appointed Public Defender for Bexley, Ohio Mayor's Court in 2019 and remain committed to defending those accused of misdemeanor and traffic crimes.. I am passionate about defending college students in code of conduct complaints, accusations of academic misconduct/cheating, Title IX matters, and student organizations facing investigations into hazing allegations or risk management policies. This area of law is particularly nuanced and fast changing, and I strive to provide encompassing representation and advice to my clients and their families.
