Kevin Kita has spent his career accumulating invaluable experience in all aspects of civil litigation from pre-litigation investigations, through discovery, motion practice, arbitration, mediation, trial and appeal. He has first-chaired numerous jury trials and obtained favorable jury verdicts in three different states. On appeal, Kevin has presented arguments and obtained favorable decisions before Ohio’s Sixth, Ninth and Tenth District Courts, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Ohio Supreme Court. While his professional experience spans a wide variety of legal matters, he has focused his practice primarily in the areas of products liability, automobile warranty, governmental liability, and general liability defense.. Selected by Super Lawyers to the list of Rising Stars each year since 2014 and recognized by Top Attorneys as one of the "Outstanding Young Lawyers in Cleveland," Kevin actively and successfully defends clients in a broad spectrum of cases.  Notable successes include directed verdicts in trucking/transportation cases, directed verdict and unanimous jury verdicts defending automobile manufacturers in  warranty cases, a unanimous jury verdict in defense of a multi-million dollar products liability claim, and favorable verdicts in a medical malpractice damages case.. Kevin’s achievements as an attorney have been recognized throughout the community, especially at his alma mater, The University of Akron School of Law. Since 2011, Kevin has been coaching the University’s nationally acclaimed trial advocacy competition program, winning multiple national championships and Sixth Circuit regional championships in the process.
