I was born and raised in Mobile and attaended Mobile County Public Schools. After getting my degree in Electrical Engineering, I graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors) from the University of Alabama School of Law in May 1993. I was a member of the Alabama Law Review and was selected as a Hugo Black Scholar and I received the Dean M. Leigh Harrison award for superior academic achievement..
