Sean C. Pierce is one of the founding attorneys of Harbuck Keith & Holmes LLC and practices across Alabama and the Southeast from its Birmingham office. Mr. Pierce has over 15 years of experience in handling labor and employment, professional liability, and product liability (including drug and medical device, mass tort, and environmental and toxic tort) claims and cases on behalf of his clients, with an emphasis on complex litigation and class actions.. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Business and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association.. He was named as an Alabama Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2010-14, and as a “Top Rated Employment Litigation Attorney” for 2015.  He was also named a “Top Lawyer” by B-Metro Magazine in 2015.  He was appointed to the Birmingham Bar Association’s inaugural Diversity/Inclusivity Committee in 2015. He was also appointed to the Alabama State Bar’s Diversity Committee in 2016.. He is on the Steering Committee of DRI’s Professional Liability Committee and has served as the Chair and/or Vice Chair of its Real Estate and Design Professionals Substantive Law Groups.  He is the co-author of the Mississippi Chapter of DRI’s 2012 “Professional Liability Insurance Coverage: A Compendium of State Law.”
