Matt Pierce's practice focuses on construction law and real estate development. His construction law experience includes assisting contractors, subcontractors, designers and project owners in a wide variety of issues, including contract drafting and review, mechanic's liens, bonding and insurance, delays, non-payment, bids/proposals and public procurement, warranty and negligence claims, and licensing.. Matt is an experienced litigator, represents clients before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and is experienced in resolving disputes through negotiation, arbitration and mediation.. Aside from his legal practice, since 2006, Matt has been a faculty associate at the Del E. Webb School of Construction and School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he teaches undergraduate seniors and graduate students in the course on construction contract administration.. Matt is also a member of the Alliance for Constructions Excellence (ACE) at Arizona State University, where he participates in task force groups dealing with alternative project delivery methods (APDM) and public private partnerships (P3).
