At age 15, Weems' family moved to the Allen Temple Apartments in Atlanta, Georgia, where he first became involved in the entertainment business by co-managing a dance group dubbed, Too Crucial.. Weems is an Atlanta native, having graduated from G. W. Carver High School located in Southeast Atlanta. Antavius Weems earned his B.A. from Clark Atlanta University in 1995 and also earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from the Whitney M. Young, Jr. School of Social work at Clark Atlanta University in 1998. A little known fact about Weems is that he first attended Morris Brown College before transferring to Clark Atlanta University. During college, Weems was a member of the Morris Brown College band, where he played trombone. Weems was also a member of the famed Clark Atlanta University Philharmonic Society choir.. Mr. Weems received his Juris Doctorate degree from Michigan State University College of Law in June 2001.
