Alston Johnson practices in the area of litigation, particularly at the appellate level and with particular emphasis in the areas of tort litigation, insurance coverage and litigation, and administrative law. He has extensive experience in legislative and regulatory and governmental matters and has represented numerous public entities in both counseling and litigation capacities. Prior to joining Phelps Dunbar in 1984, Mr. Johnson was a member of the full-time law faculty at the Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University for 12 years. He continued to serve an as an adjunct member of that faculty from 1984-2011. When he took senior partner status with the firm in early 2012, he taught full-time again on that faculty until the end of the spring semester of 2013, when he reverted to his prior adjunct status. Carmouche as Commissioner of Conservation, and has moved Oil and Gas production in Louisiana into the 21st century.  George has since retired and works on an advisory/of counsel role with Scott.

Alan Harrell practices environmental law and litigation, with an emphasis on toxic tort litigation and class actions. He also counsels clients on environmental regulatory matters. Working at the intersection of substantive environmental law, science, and litigation, Mr. Harrell regularly works with a variety of expert witnesses in areas ranging from hydrogeology to vapor intrusion.. Mr. Harrell’s practice includes representing chemical manufacturing facilities and environmental insurers in actions alleging personal exposure, diminution of property value, and other damages. After graduating from Loyola Law School in New Orleans in 1990, Price McNamara served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John M. Shaw, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, from 1990 to 1991. Following his clerkship, he spent several years as an attorney at Hailey, McNamara, Hall, Larmann & Papale in Metairie, Louisiana, where he defended automobile and truck insurers, as well as industrial offshore vessel owners and drilling contractors, in a wide range of personal injury and insurance disputes. During this time, he also earned an advanced master's degree in Environmental Law from Tulane Law School..
