On a personal note, Melissa is an avid runner who also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Matt Smith is a part of the Commercial Real Estate and Banking Group of Andersen, Tate & Carr. Mr. Smith focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, secured lending, zoning and business law, including the acquisition, financing and sale of commercial and residential property throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta area. Mr. Smith also represents numerous banks and lending institutions in secured loan transactions.. Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2002, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law (2000-2001) and later a Notes Editor (2001-2002). Mr. Smith received his undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business, with a concentration in Finance, cum laude, in 1997, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, where he was a member of the fraternity Alpha Tau Omega.. Mr. Smith was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Georgia in 2002. Mr. Smith is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section).

Matt Reeves is a litigation partner at Andersen, Tate & Carr. Matt is passionate about private property rights and litigating important client matters in an excellent manner.  His practice covers a wide range of matters within the areas of real estate litigation, commercial and banking litigation, and probate litigation, including representing private property owners and business owners in eminent domain and disputed zoning matters.. Matt has represented clients in the following road projects: Georgia Highway 316, Sugarloaf Parkway Extension, Georgia Highway 20, Pleasant Hill and Buford Highway, Highway 29, Friendship Road/Lanier Islands Parkway. He also provided representation in the Archer High School condemnation and represented the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church in its sale of the Simpsonwood property on the Chattahoochee River to Gwinnett County.. He has successfully obtained justice for clients from juries and judges across Metro Atlanta and the State of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals, federal courts, as well as matters in which the parties were able to reach a meeting of the minds before the case went through verdict and appeals.. While in law school, Matt was a Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court Pupil, and defeated the University of Florida’s moot court team in the Hulsey-Kimbrell Georgia-Florida Moot Court Competition. He also attended the National Institute of Trial Advocacy deposition seminar at Duke University Law School in 2005.

Liz Clack-Freeman is part of the Litigation Group at Andersen, Tate & Carr. Ms. Clack-Freeman has a business and commercial litigation practice focused primarily in the areas of employment law, intellectual property and contract disputes in both federal court and state courts. Ms. Clack-Freeman’s employment practice includes not only litigation matters, but also includes preventative counseling and the drafting and reviewing of employment related documents including employee handbooks, employment agreements, severance agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, confidentiality agreements and other documents related to employment practice and procedure. Before joining the firm, Ms. Clack-Freeman served as law clerk for the Honorable William C. O’Kelley of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.. Ms. Clack-Freeman received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 1998, where she was the First Honor Graduate and served as Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review. Ms. Clack-Freeman’s article, “Title VII and Plaintiff’s Replacement: A Prima Facie Consideration?” appeared in the Spring 1998 Baylor Law Review (50 BAYLOR L. REV. 463). Ms. Clack-Freeman received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in 1995 from Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina, where she was named to the All-American Softball team in 1993 and was later named the NCAA’s Woman of the Year for the State of South Carolina in 1995.. Ms. Clack-Freeman was admitted to the practice of law in the state of Georgia in 1999 and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Federal Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association’s Labor & Employment section and the Gwinnett County Bar Association. Ms. Clack-Freeman is a Gwinnett County native. She and her husband Shawn, as well as their children Colby, Carter and Calan, currently reside in the Snellville/Grayson area and attend The First Baptist Church of Loganville.

Ken is a member of the litigation group at Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C. His practice focuses on assisting clients in business and commercial lawsuits, as well as personal injury and medical malpractice disputes.. Before graduating cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law, Ken was a finalist in the American Bar Association’s Business Negotiations Competition and won national and local moot court competitions. Ken also interned with the in-house legal departments of both a large international corporation with a billion dollar annual revenue stream and a small tech start up barely getting on its feet. He relies on the insights gained through these experiences every day, as he advocates for businesses and individuals in the state and federal courts.. In his free time, you’ll probably find Ken running, watching a movie, backpacking through the Georgia wilderness, or on a date with his wife, Lindsey.
