I was born in St. Louis, Missouri where I lived for twelve years. After a two year stay in Glen Carbon, Illinois, I moved to Madison, Alabama. I graduated from Bob Jones High School in 2002 with honors. I received an Auburn Alumni Academic Scholarship to Auburn University. I graduated cum laude from Auburn University in 2006 with a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering and a Minor in Political Science. After that I took the path less chosen and went from Auburn to the University of Alabama School of Law. I graduated from Alabama in 2009 and have been working in the Huntsville area ever since.. As a lawyer, I feel it is our duty to help out those in need. Therefore, while at Alabama, I worked with the Alabama Civil Clinic which allowed me to help college students and individuals in the community who were in need of legal assistance. I have also taken cases from the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program in an effort to help those who could not otherwise afford attorneys.. I also feel very strongly about accountability for one’s mistakes. It seems that far too often these days, the focus of a civil case is on how much money an injured person receives, instead of what mistake caused that injured person to become hurt. I believe our juries are important to the American legal system because they hold individuals and corporations responsible for their mistakes.
I was born in Huntsville, Alabama and grew up working in and around my parents’ local small business. I graduated from Randolph School (13’) where I was a member of the inaugural football team. I received seven best paper awards including: Contracts I & II, Constitutional Law I, Property, State Constitutional Law, State and Local Taxation, and Advanced Evidence. I was also fortunate to serve on the Honor Court and as an Academic Support Mentor. At Cumberland, I had the opportunity to study under one Federal Circuit Judge, two Federal Magistrate Judges, and a Municipal Court Judge. I have been practicing law in North Alabama for over 15 years.
I represent clients in complex litigation, including government contracts litigation and "bet the company" matters involving trade secrets, noncompetition agreements, intellectual property, contracts, and a variety of other subjects. I have also successfully represented clients in appeals before many appellate courts, including the Fifth, Sixth, Eleventh U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Alabama Supreme Court, and the Florida 1st District Court of Appeal, and in specialty courts like the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. In every matter entrusted to me, my goal is to provide solutions to my clients' complex legal problems in a reasonable period of time. By returning telephone calls promptly, updating clients regularly, and working harder than others, while displaying courtesy and respect toward clients, opponents, and courts, I work hard to achieve this goal.. ---------------.
