The job of managing our growing firm has become too big for one man to handle.. As a result, I joined Attig | Steel in 2016 to oversee the firm’s daily work and manage our staff. I work closely with our staff, my law partner and attorney Chris Attig, and staff at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, BVA, and VA Regional offices to manage our practice and caseload.. Because it is impossible to personally assist all the veterans who seek our help, I work hard to create a network of accredited agents and attorneys who the firm trusts to take on administrative claims where Attig | Steel cannot.. Attig | Steel strives, wherever possible and appropriate, to provide every veteran with some sort of assistance, links to information and resources, or referral to another law firm or accredited VA attorney.. I've always been problem-solver, going all the way back to my days as a child putting puzzles together, playing Tetris, and reading choose-your-own adventure books (I always have liked to choose the outcome).. Becoming an attorney was a natural fit for me.  I love working with my clients to help solve their legal problems.  Each client and case is unique and, therefore, presents the challenge of finding a unique solution.. Not only do I love what I do, but I love the team that I get to work with at our firm.  My law partner is my husband.  The skills that make our marriage successful also work well together to make our law practice thrive.  We are honest with one another and we know our strengths and weaknesses.  That helps us know how to tailor our strategies in each case so that our clients get the best representation that our team can offer.. I have a blast every day working with our fun and energetic team to find creative ways to solve our clients' legal problems.. When I'm not being a lawyer, I enjoy hanging out with my family, traveling, spending time outdoors, photography, shopping at farmers' markets, eating local, and reading.  And, coffee . . . none of these other things would be enjoyable without coffee.

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a professional hula dancer.  When job opportunities in that field proved scarce in Arkansas, I turned my attention toward law school, where I was able to put my ability to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Latin to absolutely no use.  In addition to speaking Spanish, I do pretty decent French and Russian accents, which, again, I am able to put to absolutely no use as a lawyer.. I was fortunate enough to luck into a clerkship at my current firm while in law school, and like a bad penny, I just kept showing up until they hired me full time. Although I never expected to become a litigator (I was always taking the transactional classes in school), I enjoy the challenge that comes from solving actual client problems instead of looking to avoid potential ones. I've come to appreciate the creativity necessary in creating winning trial strategies and the utility of alternative dispute resolution.. When I'm not in the office, I'm spamming my Instagram feed with photos of my dogs, Lilly and Winnie, traveling around the state looking for antiques, and spending time with my family. Sometimes I'm doing all three at once.
