Karen Koplon concentrates her practice in the area of medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, professional liability defense, premises liability and general insurance defense.  She has extensive experience representing hospitals and practitioners as well as long term care facilities. His deep understanding of ERISA allows David to provide practical advice in the complex landscape of employee benefits law. David often collaborates with attorneys including those in the Corporate, Healthcare and Litigation Practice Groups on employee benefits issues related to mergers, acquisitions and tax matters for clients.

I have a variety of experience in various general civil litigation matters including business and commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, healthcare liability defense, medical device liability defense, personal injury and business torts. I also represent media organizations and journalists in defamation actions and other matters.  I have been involved in a number of jury trials to verdict.  I also provide counsel to clients in the area of information privacy and cybersecurity including security incident investigation, security awareness and policy drafting, cyber risk management including insurance policy coverage consultation and breach response management.  Specifically in the area of healthcare, I counsel covered entities on a variety of matters pertaining to HIPAA Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule compliance..
