I am a management-side labor and employment attorney in Milwaukee and have been with Lindner & Marsack, S.C., since 2008. I represent employers in all types of discrimination matters as well as actions under the Family & Medical Leave Act and other state and federal employment laws. I also work with employers in labor matters such as collective bargaining and arbitration. I live in Cedarburg, Wisconsin with my wife, Allison. If you have an employee issue or would like to discuss management training, I am happy to help.
I am a labor and employment attorney with The Previant Law Firm. Most of my practice consists of providing full service representation to labor organizations. I also represent individual clients in labor and employment matters. Most of my time is spent litigating before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board and the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission. I have represented clients in locations ranging from New York to California, and have handled cases involving wage and hour laws (including a two week trial before state court), employee benefits, judicial review of administrative decisions, contract enforcement actions, and duty of fair representation litigation. I have had the opportunity to orally argue cases before the Iowa Supreme Court, as well as a number of lower federal and state courts. During the course of my practice I have had a lot of opportunities to hone individual litigation skills, such as drafting and responding to discovery, motion practice, and the taking and defending of depositions.. Another part of my practice involves representing labor unions in arbitrations, which are trials before private judges called arbitrators concerning whether decisions made by employers violated their collective bargaining agreements with labor organizations. Arbitrations are less scripted than trials, and require the lawyer to think on his feet far more often. In the past 4 years I have represented labor organizations in 23 arbitrations involving the discipline or discharge of an employee, and have persuaded the arbitrator to modify or eliminate the discharge/discipline in 18 out of the 23 cases. I have also won substantially more than half of my arbitrations, where the issue is whether the employer erred in interpreting the collective bargaining agreement. In winning the arbitrations I have recovered for my labor union clients up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.. I am especially interested in expanding my practice to handle more class action and other individual plaintiff cases, in practice areas such as wage and hour litigation and securities litigation. I have an aggressive litigation style that is suited to represent plaintiffs in class and individual plaintiff litigation.
I am a labor and employment attorney representing various labor federations, unions, and individuals in negotiation, arbitration, and litigation for contract disputes. I also have represented labor unions and their members and retirees in state receivership and federal bankruptcy proceedings. I frequently advise individuals on labor and employment matters, including issues relating to employment discrimination, family and medical leave, wage and hour violations, and other employment rights.
I am a dedicated and proud trial attorney for more than 23 years. My firm, Murphy & Prachthauser,s.c., is dedicated to the diligent and ethical representation of our clients who have suffered both large and small injuries; helping clients of all ages in their time of need to put their lives back in order and obtain the compensation they deserve.
I am a civil litigator with several years of experience working for both plaintiffs and defendants. My practice is diverse, but my expertise is primarily concentrated in claims involving personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, administrative law, and professional malpractice.

For over fifteen years, I've been fighting and winning criminal appeals in Wisconsin. Day in and day out, I come to my office to fight the system that has incarcerated my clients. And I do that work as a professional appellate attorney. That's almost all I do: fight for my clients as a criminal appeals attorney.. You should know: if you're appealing a conviction in Wisconsin, the State will be represented by an attorney who only handles criminal appeals. In other words, the State's going to have a professional appellate attoreny on its side. You should too.. You wouldn't hire a heart surgeon to do brain surgery. Don't hire a trial attorney to handle your appeal. Hire a professional appellate attorney and make it a fair fight against the State.

For Dave, it is all about helping people. That is the reason he went to law school, and the reason he became interested in personal injury law, where he fights for people who have had their life turned upside down through no fault of their own. For over 25 years, Dave has dedicated his practice to representing people injured by careless drivers, unsafe premises, and people wrongly denied insurance coverage by Fortune 500 companies who all too often favor profits over paying what they owe. Dave is committed to ensuring a fair and effective justice system for anyone who has been injured by the misconduct or negligence of others, which is why he is a proud member of the National Crime Victim Bar Association, American Association for Justice and the Wisconsin Association for Justice.. Throughout his career Dave has been part of a collaborative team of attorneys, representing tens of thousands of injured people throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest, fighting to obtain maximum recovery for their clients, in cases both big and small. For example, he was instrumental in establishing creative theories of liability and insurance coverage to help obtain a $2 million settlement for a woman who was paralyzed when a UTV rolled over in a farm field, over $3.2 million for a man severely burned in an apartment fire caused by an arsonist, and $2.5 million for three siblings whose parents were tragically killed by a drunk driver in Wisconsin. However, rest assured that Dave is just as passionate providing VIP service and results to those who have suffered less serious injuries and damages, helping to ensure that every client recovers what they are entitled to under the law.. Dave is a life-long Wisconsin resident, born in Milwaukee, raised in Waukesha, and currently living in Hartland with his wife, Heidi, and high-energy red labrador retriever, Copper. He earned his undergraduate and law degree from UW-Madison Before dedicating his practice to injury victims, he served as law clerk to both Appeals Judge Harry S. Snyder and Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. When not in the office in the fall and winter, you can find Dave in Madison or Green Bay enjoying all the festivities surrounding Badger and Packer football games. In the spring and summer, Dave and Heidi like to take advantage of the outdoors, especially “Up North,” at many of Wisconsin’s lakes, trails and parks, where you can find them biking, hiking and boating.
