Amy Hayes is a small-town girl that grew up in the South watching SEC football and losing her flip-flops in her gransparent's garden.  Amy graduated cum laude with a BA from Auburn University in 2000 and JD from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2003. Amy's career has been spent between a couple of larger firms in Oklahoma City, working as a federal government attorney, or chasing an oil rig. Additionally, she has worked as a commercial negotiatior for a fortune 500 Oil and Gas company, which gave her extensive training on negotiations and real world business practices that is not taught in a regular law school curriculum.. All of my life people (family, friends, strangers, etc.) have told me that I should get involved in the practice of law and/or politics. I think even from a very young age I displayed a passion for the law and more importantly, justice. Growing up my family moved a lot and I believe that is what formed my ability to engage with any type of person on any number of topics.. I have had experience growing up in big cities like New York and Chicago as well as quite suburbs and rural communities such as St. Louis, Springfield (MO and IL) and now my hometown of Oklahoma City. With that said, I have lived in the State of Oklahoma for the longest of all of the places I have lived and this is truly becoming my home.
