While in law school, I was involved in a car crash. A woman was texting on her phone and crashed into the back of my car while I was stopped at a red light. Going through the hassle and headache of the legal process alone made me realize just how difficult it is to pursue a claim against an insurance company. I decided that I wanted to be the voice for those who have been injured and speak up to the insurance companies in order to ensure that fair and adequate compensation is received. I have been passionate about helping anyone who is injured ever since. Also, I have done a great deal of work for the Deaf community and seek to provide legal services to the Deaf community in American Sign Language.
When not practicing law, I enjoy all things outdoors and golfing. I'm a southern Utah native and spend my time in the beautiful national parks that I consider my backyard. During the winter you will find me skiing at Brian Head, hopefully not tumbling down the slopes... I'm an approachable guy and I love helping individuals with their legal needs. Please feel free to reach out with any estate planning needs you may have.

Tyler is the managing partner of We Win Injury Law and has adopted a work hard/play hard attitude. When he’s not assisting clients or in the courtroom, he loves spending time with his family and being outdoors. To Tyler, our clients matter more than the case value, which is why he takes all types of injury cases.. Tyler moved around a lot in his youth and ended up at BYU-Hawaii for his undergraduate education. I know what you’re thinking, he didn’t study as much as he should have because he was in the water surfing, and that is totally true. Good thing he figured things out in law school in San Diego where he graduated from California Western School of Law. Since graduating he has been practicing injury law in Utah for nearly 20 years.
The hands on and practical experience which Carson gained in his previous employment (family farm work and construction) provides great insight to the legal work he now provides in representing clients in various civil litigation actions which include construction defect, mechanics lien actions, and other construction-related matters.

Since 1985, I have devoted my practice to defending life and liberty, and the Constitutional rights of my clients. The government has far more resources than you. They have prosecutors, police, and millions of dollars in budget. Public perception of persons charged with crimes also works against you.. You need an advocate who is experienced and willing to do battle to protect your rights. I walk the walk. I have tried over 100 cases to juries in my career, and continue to take it to the box on a regular basis. I have earned the respect of judges, prosecutors and other lawyers across Utah for my zealous advocacy and hard work for each of my clients over 30 years of law practice.. But don't expect flowers and puppies when you talk to me. I won't sugar-coat it, I won't give you false promises or blow smoke just to get you to sign a contract with me. I also won't give you false scare-tactic, hard-sell garbage either. You get personal attention from me, your lawyer, and not a run-around with "assistants" or paralegals. I personally return all calls and emails within 24 hours, usually faster, unless I'm in a trial.. Experience. Integrity. Hard work. That's why my clients get better outcomes.

My Story. As I walked out of the courtroom, the bailiff was calling for backup. Two of the children of the decedent were starting to fight in the courthouse hall. I was the attorney administering their father’s trust. This was a case that brought home the message that not all trusts are created equal and they may not do what the trust maker had intended them to do.. This case, along with others, pushed me in my quest to find a way to use today’s Internet to help people obtain the best customized plan for them at a reasonable cost. A process that will be simple and understandable, yet with all the benefits of the attorney’s experience and expertise. A process that helps families recognize the wisdom and values that are the foundation of their lives. Then, infuse it into their estate plan and their plan is no longer a sterile legal document.. I am an attorney licensed to practice law in both Utah and California, with over 45 years of experience in the legal profession. I have seen every kind of litigation and the destruction of families because of poorly drafted and prepared estate plans.. The reason for estate planning is not just to save taxes, avoid probate or lose your assets to the government. Based on my experience, the reason for your estate plan is to share all of your assets, not just the financial assets, with a clear purpose and to provide leadership to the generations that follow.. Professionally, my goal and purpose is to help families craft estate plans that provide peace of mind, protection, financial savings, leadership, purpose and guidance to the next generation.. My practice is limited both in the number of new clients I accept each month and the types of cases I accept.

Losing your loved one is a crushing blow. One of the most painful times of your life.. My first experience with wrongful death came at age 12 when my father died in a car accident. My father was a passenger in the front seat when the driver fell asleep crossing lanes of traffic and striking another car head on. My mother, who had not worked in years and did not have a driver’s license, was left with six children under the age of 14.. My mother hired a wrongful death attorney who brought a claim against the driver, a close family friend. The resulting settlement made news as it was one of the largest wrongful death settlements in the state at that time. The settlement funds that our wrongful death attorney got us, helped our small family to survive.. It may have been this experience which inspired me to become a wrongful death attorney in Utah. Since that time, as a wrongful death attorney in Utah, I have handled a number of wrongful death claims– some high profile, some not. As a wrongful death attorney in Utah, I guarantee to devote my time on your case, ensuring everything is done to help you and your family, that is within my power.. The law cannot replace your loved one. A wrongful death claim cannot bring back your loved one. The only “remedy” the law can give you is what judges call “damages” which is monetary compensation.. No amount of money can replace your loved one. However, a thorough knowledge of wrongful death principles and the facts of the case can help to make sure that justice, though imperfect, is the maximum the law allows. This can bring you a feeling that justice has been achieved.

Kevin Swenson was raised in Bountiful, Utah, and is a co-founding partner of Swenson & Shelley. After graduating from Bountiful High School, Kevin attended business school at Westminster College. While in college, Kevin owned and ran a sign company and worked as an ambulance driver and firefighter. Kevin loved his work in the emergency medical arena. His career as a personal injury attorney allows Kevin to continue devoting his time to assisting injured people.. Kevin graduated from law school at the University of Utah and worked as a defense attorney for insurance companies. Through that experience, he learned how insurance companies work, how they think, and how they attack a claim. In 2010, Kevin “changed camps” and switched to representing injured individuals in his community rather than the multi-billion dollar insurance companies that fight those claims of those individuals.. He now feels a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment by assisting people injured by the wrongful acts of others. Understanding the reluctance of insurance companies to pay claims and the strategies they use to get out of paying claims, Kevin can now use that first-hand knowledge to fight for injured parties and collect the money rightfully due to them from insurance companies.. Kevin involved himself in thousands of lawsuits for more than 30 years as an attorney, many of which have gone to a jury verdict. Kevin is passionate about what he does, devoting time to helping individuals get the medical care they need, and he enjoys seeing his clients heal and move on from their injuries.. Kevin enjoys the outdoors, family, and travel when he isn't working.
