Allow me apply my fierce work ethic and years of experience to protect you from the government's reach. Let's push back.. Shira Stefanik is not originally from Washington State, but she has lived in this region for much of her adult life. It is beneficial to bring a multitude of perspectives when approaching a conflict. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Shira transplanted herself on the west coast to attend The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Evergreen's culture of social activism led Shira to the World Trade Organization (WTO) protests in 1999, where she and hundreds of other peaceful protesters were booked in the King County Jail for several days. That was not the last time Shira saw her peers get profiled, arrested and charged with criminal conduct. These experiences ultimately led Shira to pursue a legal education in San Diego, California, where she earned her law degree in 2008. Game on. Shira returned to the Pacific Northwest and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2009.. Despite earning her law license in the midst of a crippling recession that prevented many young lawyers from launching their careers, Shira began working with other defense attorneys in the Seattle and greater Puget Sound area on a contract basis, assisting with court appearances, legal briefing, case negotiations, and trials. Always one to champion the underdog, she opened the Law Office of Shira J. Stefanik in 2010, where she has steadfastly committed to defending those accused of criminal misconduct.. Shira has attended the National Criminal Defense College, an intensive two-week program focused solely on criminal defense trial work. She is an active member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the national DUI Defense Lawyers Association, where she regularly participates in continuing legal education seminars to ensure that she is current on changes in the law and emerging defense strategies.. In her free time, Shira enjoys spending time on the water during sunny days and seeing live music, especially Phish and Grateful Dead projects.. My work begins with a personal consultation, followed by extensive investigation. If you have not yet been charged with a crime, there are steps I can take to attempt to prevent that criminal charge, or to mitigate the effect of the charge once you are summoned into court.. When criminal charges are filed, I understand that the consequences of a criminal conviction can be life-changing. I examine every piece of evidence the government plans to use against you to determine whether it is accurate, authentic or even admissible in court.. I utilize my extensive network of the most qualified consultants, colleagues, investigators, providers and expert witnesses to address legal, factual, and scientific issues to prepare the most effective defense. With an understanding of your individualized needs and concerns, I extensively explore every tactical scenario to accomplish the best possible result in your case. I keep in regular contact with you to ensure that you are updated, involved and informed. I give you your voice back.. Whether we reach an agreed resolution or go to trial, I stand by you and I fight for you the entire way.. You will not have to go through this alone.

Since becoming a lawyer in 1993, I have completely dedicated myself and my practice to the defense of those charged with criminal misconduct. For more than 20 years the vast majority of my practice has been helping people avoid the drastic and often times unfair consequences of a DUI conviction.. My practice is founded on the belief that through hard work, preparation, diligence, communication and never giving up, every DUI charge can be beaten. Our results show that in almost every instance, this belief is true.

Kevin Trombold has been defending people just like you for nearly twenty years. As a public defender and in his thriving private practice, he has effectively represented thousands of people charged with DUI, Domestic Violence and other crimes.. He is highly rated by former clients, who praise his fierce determination in getting their charges reduced and his warm, knowledgeable courtside manner. Kevin is also well respected by the judges and prosecutors he works with across the Puget Sound for his expertise in DUI law, a complex area involving forensic science.. One rare asset Kevin brings to the table is the time he spent honing his trial and negotiation skills as a public defender. While private criminal defense attorneys in Washington typically go to trial just a few times a year, Kevin took several hundred cases to trial in his nine years with the Public Defender Association of King County. Only a handful of Seattle-based criminal defense attorneys have Kevin’s level of trial experience. It molded him into a seasoned attorney who is completely at ease before jurors and judges and also skilled at vigorously cross-examining police officers and expert witnesses. Because he has won so many not guilty verdicts before juries, prosecutors in Washington know he is not bluffing when he says he will take a case to trial if he can’t get the deal his client deserves.

I first became a lawyer because, as corny as it might seem, I was enthralled by watching Perry Mason when I was a young boy. The cool and calm demeanor he exhibited in any situation, his crafty cross examination of witnesses that somehow always led to a confession, and not to mention he won all his cases. While in law school, I volunteered at local legal clinics to help people with everyday legal issues they face, from workplace discrimination to holding a bad landlord accountable. It was during this time that I saw what power the law held to help people, to improve people's lives, and to be a "big stick" when necessary. This is one of the reasons I chose to represent people charged with crimes for a living, because so many of my clients are good people even if they made a mistake. And the U.S. Constitution requires that everyone accused of a crime be entitled to a zealous defense, someone to protect their rights and challenge the government's authority when necessary. This is why I do what I do.. As a former prosecuting attorney and Judge Pro Tem, I have the experience and knowledge needed to successfully represent those accused of crimes, whether it is assault, DUI, suspended license, theft, and all other criminal charges. I also handle hundreds of traffic citations a year with an extremely high success rate. I regularly attend and speak at seminars on trial advocacy, stay up to date on new developments in my field, and provide all the resources my clients need to get them through the process successfully. But I also take pride in my client service, keeping clients updated on their cases' progress and informed of all developments. I am also there 24 hours a day if my clients need a question answered or simply want to discuss their case.. Being charged with a crime can be stressful, emotionally and financially. If you find yourself in this situation, put me in your corner. You will be glad you did.

I am a native of Tucson, Arizona who graduated from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in 1991 and began a DUI and criminal law practice the following year. I won my very first jury trial where I represented a client with several DUI priors who was facing considerable prison time if he was once again convicted for the offense. While any attorney with no prior trial experience would have reason to be nervous on his or her first trial, representing someone with multiple DUI convictions was a daunting, but exciting challenge. Winning the trial gave me the confidence that I could successfully represent anyone charged with DUI. I subsequently won my second DUI trial as well. Having represented clients in criminal cases in municipal, state, federal and tribal courts, I am accustomed to practicing in a wide variety of settings.. The DUI Law Firm was subsequently founded with the goal of providing competent, affordable and dedicated DUI defense representation for clients in the greater Seattle region.. I am also a well cited legal author who has published articles on criminal law and other legal topics. When I am not practicing law, I enjoy hiking, going to the gym, following college sports and most importantly spending time with my family.
