The Law Office of Mark A. Siesel, with offices conveniently located in the Bronx, White Plains, and a satellite office in Peekskill, New York, has represented the victims of all types of personal injury and wrongful death cases in the federal and state courts of New York for the last 28 years. As our founder, Mr. Siesel is personally involved with each case, from inception of the action through trial. Our offices represent those injured in car crashes, motorcycle, bus and truck accidents, construction accidents, on the job accidents, slip and fall accidents, elevator and escalator accidents, as well as the victims of medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, and those who suffer injuries due to defective products and dangerous medications. Our office zealously and aggressively represents our clients and has obtained numerous successful settlements and verdicts since 1986 worth several million dollars for our clients.. We pride ourselves on personal dedication to our each client. Clients are kept promptly abreast of all developments in their cases on a regular basis and all phone calls, emails, faxes or other communications are responded to immediately, and always by the end of the business day if we are in Court.. Our office also represents clients in cases in which they have suffered serious injuries as a result of dog and animal bites, burns, or suffered injuries at the hands of an uninsured or underinsured driver.. We demand that the insurance companies and their defense counsel provide the maximum possible compensation for our clients’ past and future pain and suffering, lost earnings, past and future, medical and hospital expenses, and loss of enjoyment of life. We will litigate through trial any meritorious case which the insurance companies refuse to resolve fairly and justly. Our philosophy, particularly in cases in the northern Hudson Valley, where jurors and judges are sometimes not favorable, is to prepare each case with an eye toward litigation, but recognizing that sometimes pre-suit settlement by way of arbitration, mediation or direct negotiations with the insurance companies involved is the preferable course of resolution of the case.. Due to our wealth of litigation experience since 1986, as well as our background working for law firms who defended personal injury cases in the 1980’s, we have the distinct advantage of knowing the philosophy of insurance carriers from the inside, and have an edge in knowing how they think and operate. This experience is essential and invaluable in preparing our clients for the rigors of litigation, such as appearances at municipal hearings, depositions, and trials where the client must be able to withstand the difficulties of cross examination by defense attorneys whose goal is to limit compensation and defeat the plaintiff’s claims.. In addition to our extensive practice representing the victims of accidents, defective products, and medical malpractice, our office also handles a wide variety of criminal matters, including DWI’s, aggravated unlicensed operation, impaired driving charges, assaults, document fraud, drug possession, administrative hearings, refusals to take chemical tests and traffic infractions.

Mine has been a life of service which has included doing my duty as both a United States Marine and a New York City Police Officer. I have already raised three very fine young adults, Matthew, Jacklyn and Brian and have two beautiful new infants, Conor and Cecille at home! I had previously spent several wonderful years teaching and coaching at Salesian High School in New Rochelle, NY and several more traveling the country as a performing songwriter. I have served as an adjunct professor at several colleges, where I have taught paralegal studies, civil law and criminal law. In my life I have been blessed to dedicate myself to the service of my country and my my community. These days, I am dedicated to the service of my clients, most of whom have been very seriously injured or have had criminal charges against them. While I can never repair an injured body or soul, I can, and I have, secured for my clients the highest measure of justice the law will allow. I take our mission and our responsibility very seriously. I carefully select our cases and our clients so as to maximize the individual care I personally give to each case. I am a trial attorney and will approach your case with the mindset of properly preparing it for a jury to hear. Over the years, I have become convinced that this is the ONLY way to get the insurance industry to take cases seriously. I will not ever settle a case for anything less than both what I, and my client, after careful consideration, think is fair and equitable. Period! I was recently nominated to run for the NYS Supreme Court, losing a very close election. It was an honor to be asked!

I have been designated AV Preeminent® by my peers throughthe Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ service. This is the highest possible professional rating an attorney can achieve.. Getting caught in an accident can be one of the most traumatizing moments of our lives. We’re lucky when we can walk away from an accident with no injuries or only minor scrapes and bruises. But many accidents involve far more serious injuries, and, unfortunately, these happen far too often. When an accident is due to the actions of a negligent party, it would be unfair to ask you, the victim, to take on the responsibility of paying the medical costs of your recovery. In order to protect your rights and get fair treatment, it is recommended that you hire a personal injury lawyer to represent your needs. With the recovery period being full of all new stressors, an attorney can help to take care of the legal stuff and guide you through what to expect from a lawsuit. If you have been injured near White Plains, New York, or New City, New York, the legal team at Greenspan & Greenspan, P.C., has decades of experience helping clients with cases just like yours, so you know you can trust us to look out for your best interests.

Since I am a lawyer - not a magician, that was animpossibility. I still take great pride though in knowing that my clients’lives have been made significantly better through my efforts.. Ireceived my undergraduate education at State University of New York atBuffalo where I graduated with honors. I completed my legaleducation at Union University Albany Law School. I am licensed topractice before the state courts of New York, the U.S. District Courtsfor the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and theUnited States Supreme Court.. Aside from the thousands of personal injury cases I have handled arising from all types ofaccidents, including medical, dental and legal malpractice, I have alsotaken a particular interest in assisting people who have had theircivil rights violated or were injured by police officers and othermunicipal officials who have abused their authority.. He has also been named a lifetime member of “Elite Lawyers in America,” “The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum,” and “Top Trial Lawyers in America.” He is a Fellow in the prestigious Litigation Counsel of America, and a member of the venerable American Bar Association Foundation.. Jeff’s versatility with a wide array of subject matters has led to his handling of many high profile, difficult cases. Among other matters, Jeff successfully led the defense in federal court of a boat-builder wrongfully implicated in the “Ethan Allen” tragedy on Lake George in which twenty persons perished, winning summary judgment on the client’s behalf; prosecuted a $4.5 million jury verdict in Columbia County against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI); argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court the landmark consumer fraud class action, Lee v. Basic Research, which resulted in a unanimous, 9-0 opinion overturning the lower courts’ decisions denying class certification; and argued before the Massachusetts’ Supreme Judicial Court the precedent setting case of Tyler v. Michaels which declared unlawful the collection of personal identifying information in connection with retail credit card transactions. Jeff’s reputation for excellent results and dogged preparation, make him a formidable adversary, regardless of which side of the aisle any particular dispute may place him.. Jeff is no stranger to the Courtroom, and has successfully tried to verdict a diverse number of matters, including securing a defense verdict for Madison Square Garden and Amtrak in a federal jury trial in the Eastern District of New York; winning a multi-million dollar jury award in a state court breach of contract action in White Plains; prevailing in a nine month real estate fraud arbitration in New York City in which he recovered a multi-million dollar judgment; and securing on the eve of jury selection tens of millions of dollars for clients with catastrophic losses.. Jeff’s experience in the sports, media and entertainment industries has also allowed for his successful handling of a variety of matters including claims of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, breach of television Executive Production Agreements, royalty disputes, and artist-management conflicts. Jeff has advised television broadcast journalists, senior media executives and executive producers on a wide range of issues concerning non-competes, first amendment rights, and compensation and severance disputes.. Jeff led the successful prosecution of the wrongful death action of Baltimore Orioles’ pitcher Steve Bechler, helped extricate former light heavyweight World Champion boxer Reggie Johnson from an onerous promoter’s contract, and counseled the Estate of Tito Puente, the Latin Salsa King, in a misappropriation of name and likeness litigation. Jeff regularly counsels media and entertainment clients in contract negotiations, severance disputes, and intellectual property matters.. Jeff’s skill with complex litigation has also helped the Firm to develop significant experience handling a diverse array of maritime and admiralty matters. Among other successful outcomes, Jeff defended a marine terminal operator in a federal wrongful death action in Portland, Maine; represented a luxury yacht manufacturer in a premises liability action in federal court in New Jersey; defended a Manhattan sight-seeing tour operator against a personal injury claim; and handled a Society of Maritime Arbitrators (SMA) arbitration concerning the scope of a contractual indemnity between a terminal operator and a multinational transport company. The Firm’s experience includes handling claims arising under the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act, and the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, as well as prosecuting exoneration from and limitation of liability actions.. Despite his legal accomplishments, Jeff is perhaps better known as the older (and wiser) brother of the irreverent radio host and colorful personality Craig Carton, of the “Boomer and Carton” morning show on WFAN, CBS-660AM. As Craig has often remarked, it must’ve been grade inflation at Dartmouth that earned Jeff an “A-” on the psychology paper which Craig resubmitted and received a more modest “B” on at Syracuse.. Jeff is a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, a graduate of Columbia Law School and began his career as a litigator at Cravath Swaine & Moore. He lives in West Harrison, New York, with his wife Lauren, a pediatrician, and their two children, both of whom are currently attending college.

More importantly, perhaps, is what our clients have to say about Dan’s work on their behalf. They write in reviews of Dan’s “guidance every step of the way” and that they “were treated with the utmost care and professionalism throughout the process – from the initial consultation and continuing through the very satisfactory resolution of [their] matter – and left feeling, quite literally, like family.”
