I have been practicing law since 2003 and have tried more than 40 jury trials and numerous non-jury trials throughout my career. Currently, 100% of my practice is dedicated to seeking justice for those injured by the negligence of others.. Background: After graduating from Heidelberg University where I was a four-year member of the wrestling team, I attended the University of Miami School of Law. After graduating from law school, I began my legal career as a prosecutor in Florida, where I tried case after case before Florida juries. This prosecutorial experience honed my skills as a litigator and kindled within me a true passion for the courtroom.. Driven by service, I joined the Unites States Army Reserve in 2004 as a member of the Army JAG Corps and I continue to serve as an Army reservist today. My military service has included nearly eight years of active duty military law practice, including a deployment to Iraq in 2010, where my primary missions were to partner with Iraq Army lawyers as part of the U.S. effort to help develop and grow the Iraq judicial system, as well as to investigate and pay claims made by Iraq nationals for alleged damages caused by coalition troops. From helping to deliver computers, printers, and copiers to a civilian courthouse in downtown Baghdad, to traveling to numerous Iraqi Army bases for meetings, to making cash payments to locals whose claims for damages had been verified, my overseas experiences helped to solidify an appreciation for our U.S. system of justice. I currently hold the military rank of Major and I'm a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Airborne and Air Assault schools, among others.. From 2007 – 2012, and in between military mobilizations, I practiced law at John Madden, P.A. in Stuart, FL, where I was able to earn a number of excellent results for our civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law clients. My Army service eventually led to a consecutive six-year active duty period of service from 2012 – 2018, during which I served at Fort Knox, KY; Charlottesville, VA, where I earned a Master of Law degree in military law; and, finally, at the 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command here in Wichita, KS, where my family and I chose to remain after leaving active duty.. I am licensed to practice law in Kansas state and federal courts, as well as in Florida and Texas, and I am a member of the Wichita Bar Association and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.. It is my commitment to work tirelessly on behalf of my clients. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, staying in shape, and training in martial arts.
I have been practicing bankruptcy law for my entire career. I have experience in every aspect of the bankruptcy system, representing debtors, creditors, trustees, individuals, businesses, other lawyers, and even the United States government. After seven years of practice, I decided to open my own law firm to pursue my passion--helping individuals and businesses in the bankruptcy courts. Owning and operating Prelle Eron & Bailey has now consumed over half of my career, and it continues to be a grand adventure.. While bankruptcy is the primary focus of our firm, we assist a wide range of clients in defending and prosecuting business disputes, foreclosures, and breach of contract actions. We also assist clients with their transactional needs, including incorporations, drafting operating agreements and bylaws, drafting and reviewing contracts and leases, preparing sales agreements, promissory notes, and security instruments, and arranging for the sale, division, or wind down of businesses.. Our firm provides highly personalized representation to all of our clients, from the poverty stricken individual to the multi-million dollar corporation. We are available after hours as needed. The individuals and companies who use our services are typically involved in very difficult circumstances. We meet those circumstances with the skill, service, and respect that our clients deserve. We listen and pursue our client's goals with diligence. And our service is backed by some of the most highly educated and experienced professionals in the business. I have been a practicing attorney in Kansas since 1995. I have extensive experience in family law including divorce, child custody, parenting time, and child support. I have handled more than 300 cases from beginning to end ranging from simple divorces to highly contested custody cases and appeals.. I have been a mediator in both domestic and civil law since 2000 and have mediated over 300 cases primarily concerning divorce and child custody.. Retaining an attorney is an important decision. My goal in representing a client is to make certain the client understands the legal process, the options and rights available to the client, and to be sure the client is comfortable not only with the process but with my representation. Priority is given to eliminating the fear of the unknown and explaining the court process clearly.. Good communication between an attorney and client is essential, and I make it a part of my everyday practice to respond to clients timely and to address any issues that need to be resolved. I will not make promises I cannot keep, and I will not give advice or make statements to simply make a client happy. Clients deserve to know the good and bad issues in their cases, and to be prepared for all aspects of the court process and what can happen.. I enjoy what I do very much, but I realize that the legal process may not be enjoyable for those going through it. I want to get my clients through their case as quickly as possible, always making sure that all issues are addressed and questions answered. Going through a divorce or custody case is stressful. Dealing with your lawyer should not be. Thank you for your time.
