Will Harty is the co-founder of Harty Jewell PLLC, where he represents clients in product liability, personal injury, and maritime tort trial litigation, consumer litigation, and appellate practice. As a trial attorney, Mr. Harty and his colleagues have won several multi-million dollar product liability verdicts. In his appellate practice, Will has represented clients in complex appeals before the Virginia Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. I joined the law firm of Patten, Wornom, Hatten and Diamonstein in 2010 as a lateral partner from another firm and have 20 yerars of exerpience practicing law. I have filed numerous False Claims Act (Whistleblower) cases in multiple federal courts and have also litigated a wide range of cases including commercial contract disputes, environmental matters, construction disputes, intellectual property, estate matters and personal injury cases. I have also handled numerous land use, zoning and riparian rights cases.  I have extensive experience in state and federal courts and has tried numerous jury trials.. In addition to being an attorney, I am also a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and for two years was an Assistant Professor at the Batten College of Engineering and Technology at Old Dominion University.. With regard to my education, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1989 and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in environmental engineering from Old Dominion University in 1993. I graduated magna cum laude from Loyola School of Law in 1996. While at Loyola, I served as an editor on the Law Review.. I am also a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

Jane Smart Hansch graduated suma cum laude with Honors from Salem College with her B.A. degrees in International Relations and Spanish. She received the President’s Prize for International Relations along with Departmental Honors in Spanish. Mrs. Hansch was also the first student in the history of Salem College to receive the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award for showing remarkable character and integrity, and by demonstrating a commitment to serving others.. Shaped by a passion for experiential learning, Mrs. Hansch was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to La Plata, Argentina in 2006 and later spent a year working as a Christian campus minister in Beirut, Lebanon. Mrs. Hansch currently lives in Hampton, Virginia with her wonderful husband, Davy.  They are active members of Crossroads Community Church in Yorktown and participate in a weekly couples’ Bible study at First Baptist Church in Newport News.
