I am originally from a small town in Southwest Virginia, and came to Charlotte in 2013. I fell in love with the area so I decided to call it home! I am currently a member of the North Carolina Bar Association. I am licensed to practice law in North Carolina, and have been sworn in to practice in the Federal Court for the Western District of North Carolina as well as the Middle District of North Carolina. My primary areas of practice consist of family law, personal injury/civil litigation and animal law. I am also co-founder of the nonprofit, Attach Families, Inc., which is devoted to educating the general public about the severity of attachment disorders and advocating for the right resources and treatment for children with these disorders. In my free time I enjoy volunteering and fostering with local animal rescues and traveling.

Barry Wolinetz has been practicing law for over 40 years. After participating in the Master’s program in the Political Science department at The Ohio State University, Mr. Wolinetz received his Juris Doctor from The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University in 1971. Prior to establishing Wolinetz Law Offices in 2005, Mr. Wolinetz was an associate and later partner at three other firms. Maria Ximena Sussman was born in Guatemala and is fluent in Spanish.   She came to the United States as a child and she has called the "Queen City" her home ever since.   She is married with three children and attends Carmel Baptist Church.  She enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Ben Nyhan practiced exclusively in family law for six years prior to founding QDRO Partners.  Ben's practice was primarily limited to Central Ohio, but it was not uncommon to find him in courtrooms all over Ohio, from Cuyahoga County to Hamilton County.  While mostly handling divorce matters, he also represented clients in juvenile custody and child support cases, adoptions, and guardianship proceedings.. Lauren Leader joined James, McElroy & Diehl in 2013, and she became a partner in 2018. Lauren’s practice primarily focuses on family law, including issues relating to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support (postseparation support and alimony), equitable distribution, and domestic violence.. In 2010, Lauren received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Journalism and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lauren then returned to her hometown of Raleigh, NC, where she earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law in 2013. Kelly Wick has been practicing law since 2007. Ms. Wick received a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in 2004, where she graduated as a double major from the Honors Program. She received her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio in 2007. I began my career at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office.  As a prosecutor,  I handled thousands of cases.  But during that time, I realized my true passion lies with family law.  I'm a zealous advocate both in the courtroom, as well as in negotiations.  This is one of the most stressful times in one's life and I make it a point to approach each case with the compassion it deserves.

A native of Charlotte, Tia G. Hartley has practiced law in Mecklenburg and its surrounding counties for almost seventeen years. Opening her own firm in 2006, Ms. Hartley focuses on areas involving the family, including divorce, alimony, child custody, child support, property distribution and wills.. Ms. Hartley is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, Mecklenburg County Bar, and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. She has frequently taught Continuing Education Seminars to other attorneys to help them meet North Carolina State Bar requirements, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Central Piedmont Community College, where she taught law and law-related courses. Before joining Sodoma Law, I practiced with Legal Aid of North Carolina.  I immediately began representing clients in the courtroom and in negotiations with the opposing side.  Each of my clients faced stressful and sometimes overwhelming change.  Among other things, I represented clients in obtaining domestic violence protective orders against abusive family members and I represented clients in securing custody of their children against a partner who was unfit to care for their children.. I understand that whether my client is experiencing what they would describe as a good or bad change, they need a compassionate, knowledgeable, strong advocate to help them navigate this time in their lives.  They need an advocate who will listen to their story and help them achieve their goals, whatever those goals may be.  I will listen to your story, I will take time to understand your goals, and I will cater my approach to your case depending on what you need from me during your time of need..
