My practice is focused on helping my clients through the difficult and emotionally charged matters that encompass family law.  I strive to provide my clients with many services and many different choices for resolving their cases.  While I am an experienced trial attorney, I also have the ability to settle cases without going to court.  I am trained in collaborative law and I am a mediator.  I welcome the opportunity to speak with clients and determine what process will work the best for their particular situation.

Mitch May is a family law and civil litigation attorney with an active real estate practice.  An experienced Family Court attorney, he provides clients with zealous representation in areas of divorce, custody, child support, property division, alimony, and Protection From Abuse (PFA) proceedings.  Mitch maintains an active real estate practice providing experienced representation for clients purchasing and refinancing their homes or commercial properties throughout the state.  Mitch also maintains a general law practice including the areas of wills, trusts and estates, land use, and bankruptcy.. Admitted to the bar in Delaware and Virginina in 2002, Mitch earned his bachelor's degree from The George Washington University.  While at George Washington, Mitch played varsity baseball and interned with the United States Secret Service.  Mitch received his Juris Doctorate from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.  Prior to founding of his law firm, Mitch was an associate at the Dover law firm of Street & Ellis.  Mitch is also a former law clerk to the Court of Common Pleas in Kent and Sussex Counties.  Mitch was previously apppinted by the Delaware Family Court to serve as the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) from 2003 to 2006.. Mtich resides in Kent County, Delaware with his wife and four children.  He is active in Holy Cross Church.  Mitch is currently a vice-president of the Delaware State Bar Association and was president of the Kent County Bar Assoication for the 2012-13 term.  He is member of the Delaware State Bar Association, Kent County Bar Association and American Bar Association.

I grew up in Vale, Oregon. I went to school at University of Oregon where I became a Duck and recieved my bachelor's degree in Psychology. After college, I worked for three years as a residential counselor working with adjudicated youth with alcohol or drug addiction. I went to law school at Lewis & Clark. I recieved first place for best trial notebook and 2nd place for our Mock Trial Intraschool Competition.. I work mostly in family law. I enjoy working with modest means clients and clients who have limited funds. I love representing clients who otherwise might go without representation simply because they cannot afford a lawyer. I have a certificate in public interest law and hope to be a force for postive changes in the law and our community.

Joseph A. Cervantez is a Graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law. Joseph had the privilege of beginning his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office where he gained valuable court room experience prosecuting offenses ranging from traffic violations to class X felonies. He continued his work with the Saline County State’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney handling the busy Juvenile Docket.. Since Joseph went into private practice he’s handled a variety of cases throughout the 1st and 2nd judicial Circuit of Illinois as well as in Federal Court. Joseph handles a variety of cases including Divorce, Custody, and Personal Injury but is known for work on DUI, Aggravated DUI  and complex Criminal Defense.. Joseph was born and raised in the Chicago land Area. After high school Joseph enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as a Marine Infantry Leader, deploying in 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008 to Iraq. He then worked as a NATO Weapons Advisor and Trainer, traveling and working throughout Afghanistan. Joseph eventually graduated law school and began his law career here in Marion Illinois.. Ms. Eggert practices primarily domestic relations and family law including divorce, parentage, allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time, child support, relocation and post-decree modifications. She also does Estate Planning and Guardianship work.  Ms. Eggert practices primarily in Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties.  She often serves the court as a Guardian ad litem in Peoria and Tazewell Counties, having undergone significant additional training to become qualified in cases involving minors.. Before joining the firm, Ms. Eggert was employed by the State of Illinois, Office of the Commissioner of Savings and Residential Finance (now the Office of Banks and Real Estate) as Assistant General Counsel.  In her time with the State, Ms. Eggert gained a wealth of experience both civil and administrative, in the areas of financial regulation and administrative law. Ms. Eggert concentrated her practice on the regulation of mortgage bankers and brokers, and participated in extensive efforts to draft amendatory and enabling legislation. Following her time at the OCSRF, Ms. Eggert worked with a Chicago "gold coast" real estate developer and for BancTrust as Vice President of mortgage lending.. Sarah graduated from Willamette University College of Law in 2002. While attending law school, she completed a two-year clerkship for the local district attorney's office. Upon graduation, she was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Richard J. Thorpe in Snohomish County before she joined the litigation firm, Cogdill Nichols Rein Wartell. In 2006 she relocated to North Kitsap County and opened her own office in Poulsbo. She spent her childhood on Bainbridge Island and is happy to raise her own family and practice law here.When Sarah is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and gardening.

Dixie was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and attended college at Penn State University, where she was a member of many on-campus organizations, including Sigma Kappa sorority. She came to New Orleans to attend Loyola University College of Law, and upon graduation, could not bring herself to leave. Dixie is now a happy resident of Uptown, New Orleans, where she lives with her hound dog, Boone. She is a member of the American Bar Association, and Jefferson Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and Louisiana Bar Association – Family Law Section.
