I work in the follwing areas: family law, divorce, uncontested divorce, contested divorce, suit affecting the parent child relationship, temporary restraining orders, protective orders, and collection of judgments. In law, more so than in any other field, the tenacity and perseverance of the lawyer are only two of the qualities which make a difference in the resolution of your case. Besides tenacity and perseverance, a lawyer should be ambitious and driven, book-smart and street-smart, quick on his feet but cautious with his words.A lawyer should be ethical, courteous and considerate. He should be available, return your phone calls promptly or at least acknowledge your communication and inform you of the status of your case. A lawyer should be aggressive with the opposing party but effective enough in his tactics to resolve your case in the most efficient manner and with the least amount of litigation involved. Last but not least, your lawyer should be reasonable in his fees. I strive to be all the above and more. If your case involves family law matters, I want to help.
I became a lawyer later in life after experiencing first hand as a single mother and business owner how helpless one can feel in a judicial system that seems out of reach to all but those with endless resources. I know what it is like to be faced with the need for legal representation in a judicial system that is too often dismissive of those with modest means and no special connections. I made a vow to never forget how terrified and helpess I felt and how differently many things in my life might have been had I had someone truly advocating for my rights. A lawyer has a Juris Doctorate, an advocate has your back.

I am a native of Sparta, Tennessee, and have always planned to remain in the Upper Cumberland area. My office and home are located in Cookeville, centrally located so that I may easily represent my clients in the surrounding counties. I'm passionate about what I do, and I am always looking for ways to improve my clients' experiences during what can be a stressful and painful process.. I am the only attorney in the Upper Cumberland area to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. This required specific coursework and testing to gain an in-depth understanding of the financial consequences of divorce. I did this so I can better understand my clients' options, and I could then provide clients with options. Educated clients are empowered clients.. I also have attended Collaborative Divorce training. This process is not new, but is under-utilized in the Upper Cumberland. As a trained Rule 31 Listed Family Law Mediator, I also have more in-depth experience when I accompany clients to their own mediations.. My office serves all the cities in the Upper Cumberland region, including Cookeville, Sparta, Livingston, Gainesboro, Crossville, Celina, and the surrounding counties.
Hi. I’m Zoë! I’m originally from Washington state, born and raised. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University (Go Cougs!). We moved to Arkansas for me to attend law school and loved it! I’ve graduated, married, bought a house, found a job, have dogs and cats and a baby soon. We love southern living and my husband and I are here to stay.. Before law school and even college, I had several jobs including packing and storing apples at an apple warehouse, grocery store clerk, lifeguard, and swim instructor. I’m from Yakima, Washington, which is primarily known for its agriculture, hops, and wineries. With that, there were, and still are, a ton of less fortunate, underrepresented people in the town who need legal services. I guess that comes with every city, huh? That’s how I found my love for becoming an attorney and off I went. To get on track for law school, I majored in Criminal Justice and Criminology with minors in Political Science and Psychology. I’ve always stayed busy and involved, as I was Scholarship Chairwoman and on the board of Academics for Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Beta Sigma chapter. In addition, I participated in a $1,000,000 research project in the Criminal Justice Department at Washington State University.. While in law school, I clerked at several different places and gained substantial experience in criminal defense, family law, property law, social security disability, and even some personal injury law. I’ve found great love in criminal defense and family law, which is why I am the perfect fit for the Lion Legal Services team. I am outgoing, ambitious, and strong-willed. I understand what it means to be in need, and worried about how the legal process works. That’s why I’m the gal for you. There will never be a time that you can’t reach out to me to ask questions and be reassured that I’ve got your back, whether in the office and in the courtroom.. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting and DIY projects, spending time on my porch playing cards, or simply hanging out with friends. I especially love the summer and the lakes!. My email is
