I began my career focused on consumer protection legal work when a mover destroyed all of my furniture and gave me fake insurance information shortly after I passed the bar. Trying to turn a negative experience into a positive one, I began volunteering as a consumer protection attorney for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. I volunteered there full time for several months prior to starting a law practice with a classmate in St. Louis County. In that firm, my focus was on civil litigation matters and estate planning. I handled primarily consumer protection cases, including auto dealer fraud, home contractor disputes, debt collection defense, and representing tenants against landlords.. I went on to found Flesner Wentzel, a general practice firm in St. Charles, Missouri in 2013. I continue to selectively handle consumer protection, estate planning, and probate matters, however my primary focus at Flesner Wentzel is family law cases. For more than five years, I have been helping clients with dissolutions, paternity cases, child custody, and child support matters. Our firm is not afraid to handle complex cases. We work hard and ask for extraordinary relief when it is necessary. Our willingness to handle cases that are outside the typical case have lead us to do complicated adoption work, work to get a child back after being kidnapped by family members, grand parents rights and third party custody cases, and LGBT dissolutions of civil unions/divorces. While no one "wins" in family law cases, my firm and I give clients reasonable expectations and work hard to achieve our clients' goals.. When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and ecape rooms!
Our firm is dedicated to providing compassionate service to our clients during the most trying time of their lives. Family strife is wrought with tension and we aim to provide the highest quality service possible.
The Missouri Supreme Court requires us to tell you that the choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.

First things first, I was born in Cassville, I grew up in Cassville, my family has been here for generations, and, when I wanted to have a family, I moved back to Cassville to raise one. I can't imagine being anywhere else. I specialize in common-sense problem-solving because that's what I believe best deals with local problems. I don't take more money than is necessary and if I can solve a problem without running up a bill, I will. I strive to create an environment where answers are explained to you in English, not Latin. I never want anyone to feel like they can't ask me a question or will be judged for the questions they ask.. If you have a problem, whether domestic, criminal, estate planning, or other such legal issue, give me a call and let's sit down and talk. I'll do what I can to solve your issue and If I don't have an answer for you, I'll find you someone who does. If you're looking for someone to help you, I plan to be right here in Barry County.
I got tired of big law firms, that put profits before people. Divorce and custody actions are some of the most stressful life events an individual can experience; you shouldn’t have to worry about losing an arm and a leg, through predatory billing practices, as well. That's why I opened Springfield Family Law. We put our clients first.. Too many attorneys keep their clients in the dark regarding the status of their cases, and don’t care about what that case may be doing to the client's life in the meantime. I believe in making your case as simple and straight forward as possible, without sacrificing proper and comprehensive representation. I promise to return your calls within 24 hours (or one business day), and to keep you informed of every step of the process. In addition, instead of "sugar coating" the truth, or telling you what I think you want to hear to keep you blindly paying a bill; I will be transparent and honest about the status of your action, so you can make an informed decision about the direction of your case. Whether you are thinking of starting a Domestic Action, or already in the middle of one, you don’t need your attorney adding to your worry about your case.. Being a child of divorce, I know the strain a family can experience when parents separate. I decided to work in Family Law when I was still in high school; and later I received my Master’s in Psychology, with a focus on family dynamics, in conjunction with my Law Degree. Because of my background in psychology, I possess a deep understanding of how the various difficulties involved in a Domestic Action can affect you and your family. My goal in every Domestic Action is to find the best possible solution for you and most importantly, your children. Sometimes the best solution is a settlement, sometimes it is a trial. Whatever may happen regarding your case, at Springfield Family Law, we'll put your family first.

While some attorneys are big advocates of specialization, Hollister area attorney Chad Davis is a big believer in general practice, because he believes that attorneys need to understand the interrelationship between diverse areas of the law. Chad has a practice that many would view as diverse, practicing criminal law, family law, civil litigation, as well as trial law because he understands that decisions in each of those areas have the potential to have a lingering impact on people in other areas and he wants to be certain that his clients understand the full range of potential ramifications attached to every decision.
