Britton Gore grew up in Vienna, Virginia and Washington DC. She attended the University of Virginia on an athletic scholarship and was UVA's starting catcher for four years.. Detric L. Kemp was born and raised in Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. While attending Dillard University, Mr. Kemp was a member of the Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society and the Political Science Club. In addition, Mr. Kemp served as English, Science, and Math tutor and assisted on of Dillard University’s political science professors with the cable television program called Dr. Clark Reports. Mr. Kemp also participated in the annual AIDS Walk and Relay for Life.. Mr. Kemp received a Juris Doctor from Howard University. While attending law school, Mr. Kemp spent a summer working for the Office of the Attorney General at the Department of Mental Health in Washington, D.C. where he worked to address various issues related to mental health consumers.
