Family law is my primary practice, and within that, my forte is working with families with children and figuring out the best legal solutions for each situation. I also take cases involving paternity, parentage, and other custody-related matters. Cases are not numbers to me; they are people. Courtney L. Zamudio is a native of Traverse City, Michigan.  She graduated from Northwestern Michigan College with an Associate of Applied Science in Law Enforcement.  Upon graduation she was employed by the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Deputy.  Courtney later went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology/Sociology.  After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, Courtney was employed by the State of Oklahoma’s Office of Juvenile Affairs in Norman, Oklahoma.  Part of working at the Office of Juvenile Affairs meant Courtney spent time in the courtroom advocating on behalf of the juveniles on her caseload.  This ignited her passion for the area of law and trial advocacy.  Courtney left the Office of Juvenile Affairs to attend law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law where she graduated with a Juris Doctorate.. While in law school Courtney competed as a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers’ National Trial Competition and was a member of Public Interest Law Group, Parents Attending Law School, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court.  She also served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and had the opportunity to intern at the United States Attorney’s Office – Western District of Oklahoma and Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office where she assisted with felony domestic violence cases..
