Thank you for your potential interest in engaging my firm's services to assist you. Over the past 30 years I have acquired expertise in a number of legal areas including residential and commercial real estate, corporate law, entity formation, estate and probate, dog law, and litigation.  I have a ***** (Five Star) Yelp rating which is indicative of the high level of service I provide. If you are interested in additional experience and qualifications, please read on.. IN-DEPTH REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE:. Over the years, I have served the needs of hundreds of clients, some of whom are well known in our community.  This includes the founder of Horizon Airlines in dealing with difficult/complicated real estate deals.  It is by no coincidence that clients enjoy working with me and likely become clients for life. In addition to possessing a great depth of knowledge and relevant experience, I am a consummate professional and work diligently to complete my tasks -- whether big or small, extremely complex or simple.. CORPORATIONS/ENTITY FORMATION:. I have represented individuals and corporations from mom and pop to Royal Greenland U.S., Inc., a subsidiary of Royal Greenland A/S, a huge conglomerate and "Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court".  I have also represented real estate company investors, restaurants, wireless companies, a Washington Lottery winner, a marble and tile company, nightclubs, bars, among so many other companies.  I have also evaluated over 100 companies from the standpoint of a venture capitalist from 1999 through 2009.  I have formed numerous companies and formed one of the very first limited liability companies in Washington in 1994.. MEDIA EXPOSURE/EXPERIENCE:. I have also had my share of media attention in relation to my law practice, having been interviewed on National Public Radio, by the major Seattle television stations, including in-studio, and having been quoted in local papers including the Seattle Times, Seattle Post Intelligencer and the Stranger. I also appeared in a television documentary regarding a legal issue in which I was involved. Finally, for the novelty of it, I appeared on The Judge Judy show in an episode which aired on March 29, 2018. Of course I won and Judge Judy threw the book at my opponent. It was quite an experience so feel free to ask me about it.. REALTOR/C.P.A.:. I also bring to the table my prior experience selling real estate and being involved in several personal real estate transactions. Lastly, I attained the C.P.A. designation many years ago, which occasionally is useful in the real estate transactional work I am involved in.. ZEALOUS ADVOCACY:. When doing real estate litigation, clients ask me if I am a "pit bull". My answer is that in circumstances in which it furthers my clients' interests, I am the most tenacious and zealous advocate they could have possibly hired to protect their interests. However, in many situations, finesse is the best tactic to use in order to get the job done. I have sent many pit-bull lawyers home with their tails between their legs after out-finessing them while ignoring their juvenile and unprofessional antics.. I was very active growing up and played soccer, basketball and tennis.  I also water and snow skied.  These activities continued as an adult to some extent until I had to have 3 surgeries on my knees and finally a replacement (5/12/21).  I will also have the other one replaced this year and should be able to pick up where I left off several years ago.  My passion is soccer and I led my men's soccer team into the premier league to play against ex-pros.  While that leval of play was short-lived, I was able to "sweep" (last guy back except the keeper) for the former Turkish National and World Cup keeper.  I have also attended the World Cups in Germany (2006) and Brazil (2014) and was hosted by the Sounder's owner in Germany.  Another leisure activity I partake in is playing music.  I play the alto saxophone and  currently play in the West Seattle Big Band (24 years) and a saxophone quartet.  While I am an average player, I was able to take lessons from local legend, Johny Jesson, whose instructed Kenny G. (solo artist) and Don Lanphere (Woody Herman's Second Herd).. Regardless of whether you need legal help in resolving a complex case, or if you simply need some sage advice, it would be my pleasure to assist you.. Very Best Regards,. Robert

I started practicing law in 2009 and, being a big music fan, out of law school I worked at Capitol Records in Los Angeles where I drafted and negotiated contracts for bands of the record company, putting their music in TV shows, film, commercials and video games. Some of the projects I worked on include Nike commercials, the films Inception and Scott Pilgrim v. The World, as well as video games Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero.. After living in Los Angeles I moved to Denver, Colorado where I worked for a national law firm in the Energy and Natural Resources practice. In Denver my practice focused on complex real estate and business transactions for Fortune 100 clients, primarily in the energy sector. During this time I was fortunate enough to lead teams of up to ten people in the due diligence phase of acquisitions of assets valued up to $6.5 billion.. Working for a larger firm provided a lot of great experience I would not have been able to get anywhere else, but in 2017 I decided to move back to my home state of Washington to start Moultray & McMahon with Josh. In making that move I pivoted my practice from advising big corporate clients to advising individuals and small businesses with their real estate and business needs. My clientele now primarily consists of real estate investors and home buyers/sellers looking to cut out broker commissions when buying and selling properties, as well as small businesses who are just getting up and running. I also review and negotiate a lot of commercial lease agreements for individuals and small businesses.. I received my B.S. in Psychology from Washington State University in 2005 and graduated from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 2009. I have also been a guest lecturer at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law on numerous occasions. I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, New York and Washington.. I went to WSU so Saturdays in the fall are generally pretty stressful, but I get away from Cougar football by doing a lot of skiing and going to concerts in Seattle.

Chandra is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Texas School of Law.  Chandra first became interested in estate planning while watching family members struggle to manage the affairs of loved ones with dementia. That interest deepened when she served as a student attorney at UT's Elderlaw Clinic where she helped low income elderly people with their legal needs. After being admitted to the Texas bar in 1999, Chandra worked for a small firm where she gained experience in a wide range of litigation, tax, and transactional areas. The firm was a pioneer in establishing paternal inheritance rights for illegitimate children in Texas and also  handled other difficult contested probate cases involving will contests, fiduciary litigation, and other matters. It was this experience that gave Chandra her passion for helping families prepare successful estate plans. "I was tired of seeing so many people destroy their family relationships and spend all their money on attorney's fees, when in most cases a little advance planning could have avoided years of heartache and tens of thousands of dollars in wasted money," Chandra says.  Chandra is dedicated to helping you and your family avoid these tragedies by proactively creating a plan that preserves what you care about most—whether that is preserving a legacy for your minor children, protecting your spouse in her golden years, or even providing for the care of your pets.. Chandra's other passion is helping small businesses and nonprofits plan for success. "My Dad owned several small businesses and I know first-hand the struggles small business owners face. Too many feel priced out of the legal services market and don't get the advice they need until it is too late and they are already in trouble." Chandra works with clients to come up with affordable legal plans that get them the legal advice they need when it can do the most good—before there is a problem. Chandra particularly enjoys helping new businesses form and incorporate. "Starting a business is about more than filling out a form with the Secretary of State and never looking back. Many owners think the articles of incorporation are all they need to protect their business, when that is really just the beginning.". In her years in Texas, Chandra also worked as de facto in house counsel for Lawyer's Aid Service, Inc. (LAS), a company that has helped Texas lawyers form thousands of entities, such as corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and professional associations. Chandra represented LAS in a variety of legal and tax matters and litigation. She was the principal author of one of LAS's best-selling products, a Texas limited liability company record book trusted by hundreds of Texas attorneys.  She also revised their corporate and nonprofit record books to keep up with ever-changing federal and state laws. Chandra now brings these skills to her small business clients.. Chandra also helps small nonprofits develop corporate governance practices and policies and obtain 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. "The IRS 1023 application can be very daunting. There are so many little details you have to get right. And the IRS is so backed up that an incomplete application can delay you from getting 501(c)(3) approval for months. I can guide your nonprofit through the process to an application that is complete the first time."Chandra moved to Seattle in 2010 and enjoys the beautiful Pacific Northwest and the break from the Texas heat. A long-time animal shelter volunteer and animal welfare advocate, Chandra can often be found volunteering when she isn't out walking or swimming her own two rescue dogs. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and volunteers at the King County Bar Association's Elderlaw Clinic and Nonprofit Assistance Center Clinic.  Chandra serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington Environmental Council. A closet nerd, Chandra also writes legal technology reviews for the TechnoLawyer family of newsletters.
