I was asked an illegal interview question

Location: Ohio I applied to a job that I will not name as of now. I called up multiple times asking for a manager to set up an interview, ya know taking action in my own life and being the go getter. After multiple times of just getting sent to voice mail I decided to just show up at the location and ask for the manager. Managers were unavailable at the time which is okay but someone “involved in hiring process” who was talking to me said “you look young how old are you?” As a former manager I know this is not a legal question but this technically was not a formal interview. As someone involved in the hiring process is this still a legal question even if I was only there to ask some questions about the job? What action can I take for this if I should?
