Difficulty finding representation… what next?

landlord tenant attorney Nevada Aug 18, 2026
Location: Las Vegas Nevada The landlords maintenance man was calling me a slur for a gay man and as a gay man I was offended and told him to stop. He continued and kept reporting to the office but the landlord was like it’s my word vs his. until one day he got caught on camera calling me said slur and threatening to beat me up for being one. The housing manager attempted to cover it up by lying and saying it wasn’t caught on camera and that both maintenance men said I am lying. Then her coworker interrupted the meeting and called her a liar and told her she needs to report this to hr or she will. It took hr one month to fire this worker and I was unable to get maintenance done because I didn’t want him in my apartment. The entire month he worked he continued harassing me and threatening to beat me up. I have filed a complaint with nerc and am still awaiting a response…. I have called dozens of lawyers and no one really does housing discrimination apparently since the bar hotline failed to find anyone for me . So it look like I may have to represent myself…. Except I have no idea. Any advice is welcomed 100 percent. I’m worried that the nerc sitdown won’t go well without representation and they will attempt to lowball me on the settlement.
