Company isn’t giving a refund owed Texas

I know nothing about law but this is what happened My wife needed emergency dental work done. She thought she didn’t have insurance so she was talked into using the dental clinics private insurance and paying about $2500 The next day I pulled up her work provided insurance and had her go back to see if they could re-file the charge to the correct insurance. They did and then said we would be issued a refund for $1300…. At first they said it would take 2 weeks, then they said it could take up to 6 weeks, now it’s been like 3 months and we’ve been having the run around over and over again without getting a refund… We tried to file a dispute with our bank, but our bank decided to deny the claim for not having enough information about the case… So what do we do now? Do I google lawyers nearby to take them to small claims court? I don’t know anything about how this works. Location: Texas
