For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be an attorney. When I got to college I changed my path to law enforcement even though I still wanted to be a lawyer. Now, I have been in law enforcement for 25 years. During my time as an officer, I was injured while attempting to arrest several felony suspects. While injured, I believed that I should pursue my passion for law. I went to law school, made excellent grades that got me scholarships to pursue my passion. I graduated, passed the bar and went to work with a law school friend. It's been the best decision in my life.. I had a great practice in Alexandria, Calhoun County, Alabama, with Millwood Law Firm before leaving to work full-time with the State of Alabama as an attorney. Now, I'm opening my office with the same goal of making a difference. Through law I have been able to help parents gain custody of their children, protected innocent people from bad situations, obtained divorces for people who never should have married in the first place and assisted persons in gaining order in their lives through the Courts. I love my job!. If you need assistance in Divorce, Civil problems, Family law, Bankruptcy, Wills, Trusts, Estates, Criminal Law or simple Property matters then our firm is for you. Lawrence Johnson was raised in a military family and lived on bases in Honolulu, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. He loved sports and played them all until he eventually gravitated towards tennis as a teenager. He was nationally ranked as a junior player and a state champion at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, Maryland.. Lawrence attended the Virginia Military Institute on a tennis scholarship and majored in English. Although, the Spartan living conditions at VMI were very challenging, Lawrence graduated in four years at the top of his major.. After graduating from VMI, Lawrence set his sights on obtaining a law degree and an M.B.A. Lawrence worked as Tennis professional to support himself and pay tuition en route to a law degree from Southwestern University and an M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Dual degrees helped Lawrence excel at BMG Music Publishing and in Biotech as Natren, Inc.’s Director of Professional, Ecommerce, and International Divisions.. These experiences motivated Lawrence to start his own firm and in 2012, he founded L. F. Johnson Law Firm, L.L.C. which is a small boutique firm focusing on Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Custody/Visitation and Entertainment Law.. In addition to enjoying the opportunity to provide legal representation to the residents of Alabama, Lawrence is privileged to teach Trial Advocacy and Entertainment Law as a member of the faculty at the Birmingham School of Law.

Family law attorney Patrick K. Yeatts is the owner and founder of The Yeatts Law Firm. Before founding The Yeatts Law Firm, Patrick served low-income families of Jefferson County, Alabama as a staff attorney for The Legal Aid Society of Birmingham, a non-profit organization affiliated with the Birmingham Bar Association. As a certified guardian ad litem, Patrick represented children who were removed from abusive homes or caught in the middle of custody battles. He ensured their legal rights were protected and their voices heard. By representing nearly four-hundred clients a year in various family law cases, Patrick gained extensive trial experience and a keen understanding of family law in Alabama.. Patrick decided to apply the skills he acquired while working in public service to the private sector and founded The Yeatts Law Firm. Patrick is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Alabama State Bar Association and Birmingham Bar Association. He is also a member of the Birmingham Bar Association's Family Law Section and Solo/Small Firm Section. In 2013, Patrick served as co-chairman of the Family, Domestic Relations & Juvenile Court Procedures Committee. He has been recognized as a "Lead Counsel" by Thompson Reuters based on his peer recommendations, professional experience and spotless record.. While Patrick has extensive experience in traditional litigation and trial advocacy, he is committed to providing his clients viable alternatives to the adversarial method of conflict resolution. Patrick is certified in collaborative law, a private and confidential way of settling divorce matters outside of court that utilizes cooperative strategies rather than adversarial techniques to resolve family disputes. He is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and the Birmingham Collaborative Alliance(BCA), which is made up a consortium of compassionate lawyers, mental health professionals, and financial neutrals committed to helping clients create lasting resolutions to their personal conflicts.. Whether a client is seeking a divorce, visitation with their child or hoping to adopt, family law attorney Patrick K. Yeatts understands the emotional toll the legal process can take on a family. Regardless of the issue a client may face, Patrick will strive to resolve that issue by using his greatest skills: listening and understanding.
