Firm: Frost & Beck, PC
6898 South University Blvd., Suite 110 , Centennial , Colorado 80122
Practice Areas: Family
I have been a practicing attorney for over 20 years.  Most of my legal career has been focused on family law; however, I started my litigation experience in San Diego as a prosecutor.  I also worked as an attorney for the United Nations Mission in Kosovo and taught International Law at the University of Denver.  I converted my love of family law and international law into a practice of International Family Law.  About 30% of our practice at Frost & Beck, PC, involves an international component; 60% of our practice is domestic family law inclucing child custody and divorce, and 10% of our practice is family law appeals.  I have won appeals in the 10th Federal Circuit; Colorado Court of Appeals and California Court of Appeals. As of January 18, 2016, I have never lost an appeal.

Cindy Perusse

Firm: Perusse Family Law, PLLC
7887 East Belleview Avenue , Denver , Colorado 80111
Practice Areas: Divorce & Separation, Family, Family, Family, Family
I have been practicing entirely family law for almost 3 decades now.   Family law became my focus early on just because there were a lot of people who came to my office with those kind of matters. I learned that I liked this area law because I was not afraid of the emotions that go along with it. As a business owner, a mother and a wife, I understand the things parents have to juggle on a daily basis. Adding a legal proceeding to the mix can feel overwhelming. The most important thing I can do for my clients is to protect their interests in a legal proceeding so they can continue to focus on their children and their jobs.. I litigate divorce cases from the simple to the complex. I have handled countless motions hearings and trials all over the metro area. Determining income and cash-flow, tax consequences and valuing of real estate, personal property and businesses are a regular part of my practice. Child custody and parenting time disputes can be ongoing. I represent many new and returning clients in modifying parenting time and child support. I partner with CPAs, therapists and other professionals to get the best results for my clients.. I have active licenses in Minnesota and Colorado. Our two offices allow me to handle a steady stream of interstate divorce and family cases.. I received my bachelor’s degree from UCLA and my law degree from Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell-Hamline School of Law). I was a law clerk in the 3rd judicial district in Minnesota for a year right after law school. After my clerkship, I was an associate for small and medium law firms in Minnesota and California. I completed advanced training in Family Law Trial Advocacy through (NITA) and I have 40 hours of training in family law mediation.. I like to volunteer. You can find me at the military veterans legal clinic and domestic relations self-help clinics around the metro area. I am a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) helping kids in the foster care system. My husband and I are former foster parents.. I am a member of:• Minnesota Bar Association -family law section• Colorado Bar Associations-family law section• W.O.L.F. (Women Owned Law Firms) a fantastic group of lawyers in Colorado

Colleen McCoy

Firm: McCoy Family Law, LLC
1665 N Grant St , Denver , Colorado 80203
Practice Areas: Family
Growing up in Oklahoma, I was frequently invovled with children and education. Apart from the usual babysitting, I was also very involved helping with my mother's first grade classroom. I attended Booker T. Washington High School, which is a nationally recognized magnet school. After graduation, I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an associated minor in Philosophy from UNM. I began attending the University of Denver College of Law in 2000, from which I received my Juris Doctorate in 2003.. I did not take the traditional path to becoming an attorney, however. After graduating from the University of Denver I moved to Dillon, Colorado. Prior to becoming a dedicated family law attorney, I was a children's snowboard instructor for Breckenridge Ski Resort for four years. I returned to Denver in 2008 to briefly work for a personal injury firm. I did not find that personal injury was a good fit for me. I began doing intern work for Colorado Legal Services/Metro Volunteer Lawyers in 2009. This is where I received my introduction to family law. I began working for myself in 2010 and have not looked back.. I truly am dedicated to helping people through their divorces, custody issues and all other aspects that involve family law. The cases are seldom easy from an emotional standpoint. Being a mother, myself, to three young children I understand the heartache that can result from having to share custody of your children. However, I also understand the importance of having both parents being invloved in the children's lives. I offer caring and zealous representation and promise to never stop doing my very best for Colorado families.

Clyde Zamir

Firm: Traditional Family Law, P.C.
919 W Cucharras Street, , Colorado Springs , Colorado 80905
Practice Areas: Family
A native New Yorker, Clyde grew up on Long Island. Tired of the cold weather, Clyde decided to attend law school in Miami. After a couple of years, Clyde realized he missed living in a city that had four seasons; however, he was conflicted about returning to New York, as he did not miss the traffic. Clyde compromised on Colorado, where he has practiced family law for four years where he has helped many clients through a difficult and uncertain period of their lives.. Prior to attending law school, Clyde worked as a litigation paralegal for Animal Rights Attorney. Together they represented dogs who were deemed dangerous and scheduled to be euthanized by local towns. Using state pet trust statutes, they were able to gain legal standing to represent the dog, rather than the original owner. Representing the dog rather than the owner made many of the local towns more willing to settle their cases as the towns did not have to fear the dog being returned to an often irresponsible dog owner.. A common failing among family law attorneys is that they do not spend enough time with their clients going over the facts. I believe it is an attorney’s job to comprehend their client’s struggles and convey those struggles to the court in a clear and concise manner. An attorney is an advocate for your story, and you need an attorney who is well versed in the facts to tell your story.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Attorney Christina Lukacsy Friedman earned her B.A. in history from the University of California, Davis. After working in the financial industry and starting a family, Christina then went on to pursue her passion for family law by attending the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. She has called Colorado home since 2012.. During law school, Christina interned for Colorado Legal Services in their Family and Children Unit, the Honorable Ross B.H. Buchanan, and was a judicial fellow for the Honorable Michael J. Vallejos in the 2nd judicial district.. Christina has dedicated her legal career to the practice of family law, which has also included estate planning. She has worked on complex family law cases including dissolutions of marriage, APRs (custody), post-decree modifications, relocations, putative and common law marriages, petitions for invalidity of marriage, and prenup invalidation and enforcement. She comes to Halligan with a comprehensive command of family law and its interplay with other areas of practice.. Christina’s strongest skills include her candor and ability to size up a situation, articulation of her client’s needs, and sensitivity to clients during what will be, for most, one of the most difficult transition stages of their lives. Christina knows first-hand the high stakes at play in family law proceedings, and her experiences have informed her own understanding and perspective of being a family law practitioner, making her a committed and dedicated advocate for her clients.. In her spare time, Christina enjoys cycling, gardening, playing piano and guitar, and spending time with her two children while taking advantage of all the outdoor splendor Colorado has to offer.

Chris draws on his experience to tailor practical solutions to his clients’ complex problems. But when negotiation is not productive, he enjoys diligently advocating for his clients in court.. Chris obtained his law degree from the University of North Carolina and his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University. He practiced commercial litigation in his home town of Kansas City for 15 years before moving to Colorado Springs, which he now enthusiastically calls home. Chris enjoys hiking, fishing, skiing, camping and everything else outdoors.
