I am a medical malpractice lawyer in Denver, Colorado who works exclusively with people who have been seriously injured as the result of a medical error. My unique and varied medical background gives my clients an important and uncommon advantage. Although my undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice, I spent three years studying biology and chemistry, changing majors in my senior year. I also completed the rigorous didactic and clinical education program for New York State's highest level of prehospital care providers, becoming a paramedic in 1995. I worked as a Paramedic for six years in the City of Rochester, New York, where I diagnosed and treated thousands of patients in need of emergent medical and surgical intervention in the prehospital setting. This included everything from heart attacks, strokes, diabetic emergencies, delivering babies, pediatric emergencies, major trauma, electrocutions and critical care transports to routine non-emergency evaluations and care. I also spent two years as a Tissue Procurement Specialist and Procurement Team Leader for the Rochester Eye and Human Parts Bank, where I performed sterile, surgical tissue procurement procedures on tissue donors to recover transplantable joints and tissues for recipients across the country. During my undergraduate years, I worked in the operating room as an anesthesia technician and scrub-assist technician, and worked with Alzheimer's patients in a secured nursing facility. Finally, I also have experience in various areas of veterinary medicine and surgery with large and small animals. All of these experiences contribute to my understanding of broad medical and physiological concepts. My specialized medical training and experience positions my clients at a strategic advantage in medical negligence litigation, which is the only kind of work that I do. If you or someone you know has suffered an injury that you believe might be the result of a medical error, call me to discuss your situation.. The exclusive focus of my practice is complex medical malpractice claims for catastrophically injured plaintiffs. I am licensed to practice in Colorado, Maryland, Minnesota, California, and the District of Columbia.

Jennifer L. Donaldson is a Colorado Native. She earned her undergraduate degree from Colorado College and her law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. Since graduation from law school in 1988, Jennifer has worked almost exclusively as a trial attorney, representing injury victims.. After working in larger firms, she formed her own Denver personal injury law firm in 1994 with the goal of providing superior personal service to her clients. Jennifer's practice focuses on representing only individuals who have been injured by the negligence of others. Ms. Donaldson works to recover the serious financial and personal damages sustained by her clients as a result of a personal injury claim. Firm: Bowman & Chamberlain, LLC
2828 N. Speer Blvd. , Denver , Colorado 80211
Practice Areas: Personal Injury
Jennifer Chamberlain has not always wanted to be a personal injury lawyer in Denver. To the contrary, Jennifer grew up believing she was going to become a doctor because she was fascinated with medicine. Whenever she visited her grandmother, a nurse practitioner, Jennifer would borrow a new medical text book and memorize the , however, she also had a penetrating fear of needles. Once she was old enough to recognize that practicing medicine would most certainly involve needles, becoming a doctor was out of the question.. Fortunately, she had a backup plan. As a headstrong adolescent, Jennifer was often told she would make a great attorney. Listening to friends and family, she decided she wanted to practice law. Accordingly, Jennifer applied to and was accepted by Eastern Illinois University. Her path to the legal world was almost put on hold, however, when she was involved in a tragic accident shortly after graduating high school.. Just days after her 18th birthday, Jennifer was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a head-on collision at 70 miles per hour. Her entire body was thrown violently forward, fracturing her back and ribs. Her left foot was severely severed, requiring emergency surgery to reattach it. When she regained consciousness in the emergency room days later, Jennifer was told she would never walk normal again and would not be able to leave for college in the fall.. Jennifer, determined to prove the doctors wrong, committed herself to a rigorous treatment regimen. She spent the next three months undergoing various forms of treatment. Toward the end of the summer, doctors recommended that she continue treating at home where she had a network of friends and family supporting her recovery. Demonstrating her headstrong personality once again, Jennifer elected to continue treating while furthering her education in Charleston, Illinois.. Jennifer’s freshman year was extremely challenging because her therapy demanded so much, both physically and emotionally. One year after the accident, Jennifer finally felt as though her recovery had plateaued. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills later, Jennifer settled her claim with the liability carrier without the assistance of an attorney.. She believed she was coming out ahead by not retaining a personal injury lawyer. At the time, she assumed an attorney would settle her case for the same amount, thereby leaving her with less compensation for her medical bills, pain and suffering, and future treatment. Unfortunately, Jennifer had no idea how the legal processes worked. She did not understand the importance of underinsured motorist coverage, medical payments coverage, or the “made whole” doctrine.. Fast forward a few years and Jennifer ended up attending law school at the University of Illinois, College of Law. While she was still unsure what lawyers actually did, she believed she would find out in law school. In the three years Jennifer spent in Champaign, she learned that lawyers did a lot of different things. While she thought she had figured out her life when she embarked on this path, she realized that deciding to be an attorney was really just the beginning.. After graduating law school, Jennifer began evaluating what area of law she was interested in practicing. To Jennifer, there was no point in doing something if she did not feel strongly about it. It was at that moment when her fascination with the medical world came full circle. She enjoys reading medical records and learning about various treatments and procedures. Jennifer realized the only area of law she belonged was in personal injury law.. Jennifer’s path is unique because she truly understands what her clients are going through. She is empathetic and passionate about not only helping injured people receive compensation, but also helping them through a very difficult time in their lives. Years after her tragic accident, Jennifer is not afraid to admit she made a mistake by not retaining an experienced personal injury lawyer. She still feels pain on a regular basis.. She still needs physical therapy and will likely need surgery at some point. Unfortunately, the settlement money is long gone. Jennifer did not prepare for the long term impact of her injuries. Jennifer hopes her story can help others avoid making the same mistake. Since being admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado, she has made it her goal to become the best personal injury lawyer in Denver. She only handles cases in which she believes a person was injured and will receive greater compensation with her help. To Jennifer, the settlement amount does not matter much if the injury victim does not see any of it, precisely why estimating the value of a case is relatively meaningless.. Jennifer does not think of her clients as a percentage or dollar amount. She sees them as victims who were subject to someone else’s negligence. No one would voluntarily trade their health and well being for any amount of money because no dollar figure will ever accurately reflect the pain and suffering they endure. Being a personal injury lawyer in Denver is Jennifer’s job, but she chooses this profession because she cares.

26+ years Criminal Defense - Never a prosecutor. I have no experience putting people in cages, only keeping them out. Criminal Defense SuperLawyer - Faculty at Trial Lawyers' College for 7+ years - Title IX University Sexual Misconduct Defense Lawyer. Discovering the true story of your starts on day 1. It starts with you and your experience. It continues as we learn about the witnesses, police response, prosecutors and society. Motives, pressures and other blinders lead to false beliefs or false accusations. As we learn the true story, we investigate to support it, and to disprove the prosecution story. Its basis is found in science and psychology. The true story of your case provides the best way to win at trial. It also allows gets to the best plea bargain, if that is your desire. This process works. It works to give you #honestresults.. My job is learn the facts, know the law and present it all to you so you can make good decisions. If your decision is trial, my job is to win (attorney regulation says I cannot promise more than my sincerest effort towards that goal, so that is my promise). This is best done by telling the true story of the case. The Trial Lawyers College taught me how to do that. Now, I teach it to others as part of the Trial Lawyers College Faculty. Second to winning a trial is helping a lawyer to learn how to win.. We handle many University Sexual Misconduct claims, also known as Title IX or Institutional Equity. The standard criminal defense rules are not followed and the burden of proof is 50.1%. It is highly unfair and the schools rarely follow their own rules. Despite these facts, we win at each level. While most of the case is handled at the University level, we also fight these cases in State and Federal Court. The Federal Courts very clearly see the lack of Due Process.. Plaintiff Injury work is quite enjoyable. My goals are for 1) the client to regain health, 2) someone else pays for it, 3) the client gets money to become whole. The work is challenging, and I love getting to know my clients and their friends/family.. The law is important. After more than 26 years practicing, I know law. I always find new bits. Every year, the legislature changes the law and appellate courts interpret it with greater nuance. Sometimes it helps, more often the District Attorney council lobbies to make convictions easier. What never changes is the power of story. A well told true story of a case will win where reliance on law will not. As powerful as "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" sounds, jurors focused on harm and emotion will convict. The true story solves that. The true story challenges the prosecutor to disprove this story of innocence beyond a reasonable doubt. The true story is one the jury sees and feels. It does not rely upon the cold reason of logic, of law.. I love the spirit of the west and Colorado in particular, standing for what you believe in, courage, self determination. The mountains call me, and I ski, mountain bike, dirt bike, hike etc. More recently, I started surfing. Now the ocean waves call every few months.. As a youth, I learned how to eat, dance and speak with neighbors in Louisiana. I will always love my LSU Tigers football team. If you can understand Coach Orgeron, good on you. Geaux Tigahs. For law school, I traveled to Washington DC, attending Georgetown. The East Coast was a different experience, and not much like here. No matter where I go, there is nothing more beautiful than our mountains. Colorado is home. After school, I became a Colorado Public Defender and tried every type of case you can imagine. I won more than I lost. Despite my success, I felt there was more I could do in my cases. In 2010, I attended the 3 week Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming. The work we did there changed my life. I remain passionate, but now I am happy as well. It changed my practice too. I am a better lawyer, and a better human.. I have believe in the individual, not corporations nor govenments. In my time, I have seen too many injustices committed by corporations or govenments to work for them or help them. I hope they will act for the benefit of all, but that is not their motive. Money and power are their motives.

Jason Tyler Landress has been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1997, when he moved here from Long Island, N.Y. with his family.. In 2001, upon graduating from the newly formed Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, Jason pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Denver where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and graduated with honors (Cum Laude and Phi Betta Kappa).. Jason then attended Washburn University School of Law where he developed his passion for trial advocacy. In 2007, after winning a place on Washburn’s highly ranked Moot Court team, Jason was twice selected by the law school faculty to represent Washburn nationally in both the John J. Gibbon’s Criminal Procedure Competition held at Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey and the Judge James J. Braxten Craven Jr. Moot Court Competition held at the University of North Carolina School of Law. At both competitions, he led his team to the finals, securing both a semi-finalist and quarter- finalist trophy for Washburn.. Based on his passion for advocacy while at Washburn, Jason graduated in 2008 with a Certification in Trial Advocacy, which was presented to him by Washburn’s Center for Excellence in Advocacy. It was this same group that selected him to become a member of Washburn’s chapter within The Order of Barristers (a national honorary organization whose purpose is to provide national recognition for individuals who have excelled in advocacy and service at their respective schools).. From 2009 – 2012, Jason was a Deputy District Attorney for El Paso County. He took to trial many cases ranging from major traffic and DUI offenses; misdemeanors including domestic violence, assaults, child abuse, etc.; as well as both adult and juvenile felonies. He was made a member of the Vehicular Homicide and Assault Unit and worked for a short time in the Juvenile Special Victims Unit. It was through these experiences he learned that he was called to be an advocate for those who had been wronged or injured through no fault of their own.. Jason is a member of the Colorado and El Paso County Bar Associations, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and is admitted to practice before Colorado’s State and Federal Courts, including the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation. In 2012, Jason was appointed the Vice Chair of the New Lawyers Section of the El Paso County Bar Association and is currently the Chair of that Section. Jason also became a member of Christian Legal Society while in law school and, upon graduating, became a member of the Colorado Springs Chapter of Christian Legal Society. Shortly after becoming a member, Jason was asked to serve on the Board of Directors as well as Chair the group’s Outreach Committee. In an effort to pass along his passion for advocacy to a future generation, Jason also coaches the Mock Trial Team at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and has led the team to a national competition every year he has coached.
