I started my insurance career in 1993 with a (T.P.A.) Third Party Administrator, WorldNet Services Corporation, as a claims adjuster responsible to resolve claims for Travel Medical Insurance, HMO related claims, Managed Care, Baggage Insurance and Trip Interruption Insurance for major international insurance companies.. Thereafter and on December 1995, I went to work for Progressive Casualty Insurance Company as a Claims Representative, where for 11 years; I was involved in investigating, negotiating and settling claims of coverage, collision, fire and theft, property damage, liability and personal injuries from auto accidents. Two years later, I was promoted as the Team Leader for claims operations with increased responsibilities to oversee a team of generalists that handled the most complex coverage, liability and injuries claims. While working at Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, I completed graduate school in business; earned an (M.B.A.) and then went on to law school to complete my legal studies.. In addition, I was an exemplary member of Arbitration Forums, Inc, a non- profit insurance industry based organization, from 1999 through 2005, where as a Judge panelist, I resolved disputes among insurance companies on claims related matters by making appropriate rulings and awards according to complaints and answers filed by the parties, including and based on evidence, contentions and guide rules, which are promulgated by insurance laws.. After law school, I joined the Office of General Counsel- Trial Division for United Automobile Insurance Company, where I concentrated my practice in the defense of (P.I.P.) Personal Injury Protection lawsuits against the carrier brought by Chiropractors, Physicians, other Medical Providers and Individuals. My litigation experiences includes, but not limited to:. - Preparing for and conducting jury trials, binding (ADR) Alternative Dispute Resolution and Arbitration.. - Preparing fact witnesses and experts for trial testimony.. - Conducting witnesses and expert depositions.. - Drafting pleadings, motions, trial briefs, briefs, motions in limine, motions for reconsideration and pleadings on various legal issues..
